Thanks to the internet, one can read old electronics and computer magazines from the first issues in the 1950s to the last in the 1990s or 2000s. I was looking for hardware projects and programs for my old computer, as well as some time travel back to a time when everything was new and programming was fun. I also found some issues I owned back then, including this one.[^] Isn't that a great robot? My only trouble with such robots all this time has been that they are blind and deaf and that processors used to be too slow to process the input from the sensors.

Yeah? Well Margaret Hamilton[^] was able to put some humans on the moon with very little processing power during the Apollo 11 program[^]. The truth is that software engineers here in 2016 are several magnitudes less-efficient than our predecessors. Best Wishes, -David Delaune

Ah the commodore 64, my first computer. My first program was on that and it estimated the number of tiles and other resources required to cover a roof.

I have been thinking that some of those 70's - 80's robot plans in EW etc could be built with modern componets and upgraded with micro-controllers etc... I want an R2 unit! :) Is there a link to the contents...
