Long time no see... I'm at a bit of a loss because I was arbitrarily and randomly fired in the past week, finishing on Jan 2, with no payout of leave entitlement. Still not entirely sure why, I was working hard, doing good things. So I figured I'd drop in on old friends.

Welcome back CG, was thinking of you just the other day wondering how you were fairing. Sorry to hear you got canned but that usually means another, better door is about to open. Hope you and yours have a good holiday season.

I know that feeling. Been there myself. My wife got the same treatment last year two weeks before Christmas. Sorry to hear. :sigh:

Name and shame on Jan 3. Were you in tassie or the US? I can imagine local coding jobs would be rather scarce, good luck in the new year. These guys are looking for someone Maatsuyker Island: Volunteers wanted [^], pay may be crap though but you should be used to the conditions.

Howdy, CG.  Am in India on an emergency visit to look after my 97-year old dad who fell ill in October.  Working remotely for now and hope to be able to return to T.O before long.  That sucks about being let go. :( /ravi

WTF? That's not legal, I thought. If you have vacation time accrued, they need to pay you for it. Marc
