last time the world went to war, the Germans and Japanese lost (and a few allies were smacked down too). Next time the world goes to war, the world will loose. (Is that a draw then?)

I love pointing out how he is wrong - the third one is about economics, demographics and resources.

While I do agree Einstein isn't correct in some areas, the more you come to understand him, the more you come to understand just how far ahead of his time he was. It's always easy looking back after humanity advanced somewhat to pick out things he's incorrect about... in a few hundred years we may be saying the same thing about Hawking or anyone else for that matter. However, the man was truly gifted intellectually and the world is a better place for his existence. Anyway, what you speak of is the reasons most wars are started, that and religion. But his quote refers to weapons. So it doesn't quite invalidate the quote, which is about him not fully aware of the weaponry that'll be used. Edit... and I say this as a person who does not agree with some of his ideologies surrounding war or relationships.

We won't have to wait long to find out...

'PLAN' is NOT one of those four-letter words.

Well, what would be left could only loosely be called "world", so I guess loose works too in this case! :)

Oh, I think "interesting" isn't even in the same ZIP code as this... Department of Defense Announces Successful Micro-Drone Demonstration[^] This is not some quaint little Chinese Curse. Think about who controls this now and dig into your thesaurus. How about: terrifying, horrifying, terror-inducing...

Have any of you seen that original Star Trek that visited a planet where all wars were done by simulation. The simulation decided who got killed in the war. The unlucky ones were march off to killing chambers. Leaves the planet intact, reduces the population of both sides, etc.

Haven't seen it, but going to Google after work - the episode sounds like a real bummer for Darwin.
