I dont know that it is *from* London, but thats is its name, and it is a damn good pint. It is also exported it is that good. And yes, UK beers, real ales, are very VERY good. They arent lagers though, and I have a VERY big place in my stomach for Stella, brewed in Leuven, many a night I have enjoyed a dre en dirtije of Stella! :) UK beers are flatter, less gassy, brewed naturally, and when the vat is opened, it is open to the air, and has to be drunk ini three days. It is a very old, and natural beer. Not at all like a lager: British real ale - Google Search[^]

Nor coffee, strangely enough. In fact - nor tea either. I'm guessing those guys threw the tea in Boston harbour that time because they thought that was how it should be brewed.

I've been spoiled with tea, because I have access to super-duper high-quality Chinese teas, at a fraction of the normal prices. With coffee, though, I'll drink any old muck, as long as it's not decaf.

You'd probably like Black sheep[^]. The brewery was founded by Paul Theakston (Yes, that one) The beers are less mainstream than Theakstons, but without going extreme or ridiculous.

I Recommend it - it's from your neck of the woods (Cornwall), so probably readily available when you're home.
Speaking of "neck of the woods", have you tried the Staggeringly Good beers? The brewery's right behind Fratton Park[^], and they have an on-licence. :D
