That's just frigging cool ! Bizzarre to think ho big some of the Star Trek ships are - I always imagined them as not much more than the large battleships of today. ¡El diablo está en mis pantalones! ¡Mire, mire! Real Mentats use only 100% pure, unfooled around with Sapho Juice(tm)!

I feel like such a nerd for actually knowing which starships were bigger :-O However it is cool to see the comparisons between real ships etc... The space slug is friggin huge. King kong wasn't what I was expecting. And its interesting to see that the space shuttle is the same size as the Leaning tower of Pisa.

Where's the Death Star? [Edit] I tried to find out the size of the Death Star with google, but it appears there is an aweful lot of uncertainty about the size of it. It seems that someone could practically write a PhD thesis on the subject based on the pages and pages of speculation. Anyway, one website said, "That said, let's go to the figures most often quoted: 120km for the original Death Star, and 160km for Death Star II." Link[^] I'll go with it simply because I'm too lazy and apathetic to dig any deeper. I guess that would make the size (diameter?) the the Death Star 120,000 pixels across and Death Star II 160,000 pixels across (it's convenient that the website uses 1 pixel = 1 meter). A bit much for a webpage. [/Edit] ------------------------------------------ "What happened in that Rhode Island club is shocking. I seem to remember reading in a Star Wars book filled with schematics that the not only was the death star huge, but that Oby-One-Kenobi(sp?) had to walk something like 80km from the space dock to the generator that he turns off in episode four. Maybe the death star is decked with travelators or something?
