We have a Sound of the Week (mostly on Thursdays) by yours truly :) It started out as Song of the Week, but song turned out to be too specific (and some members would even point out my "song" couldn't even be categorized as "music"). Anyway, the last song I listened to was kind of random RL Grime - Heard Me[^] as I had a playlist on shuffle :)

Hadn't paid them any attention till now, and she has a nice voice that doesn't distract from programming too much. Otherwise, usually listen to something from my own playlist[^] which I'm always adding to. It has a little higher energy.

I know what you mean - it's rare for a cover to be better. Patti Smith did it (IMHO) with Smells Like Teen Spirit[^], and I prefer the Jimmy Scott version of Nothing Compares 2 U[^] but it's damn rare, and you need a good voice to carry it. Mind you, I like Ciara's version of Paint It, Black[^] so what do I know? :laugh:

Best Smells Like Teen Spirit cover ever[^] :D Patti Smith isn't bad either, but everything sounds good compared to the original :D I've always liked Inkubus Sukkubus - Paint It Black[^], but I have to admit this cover came before the original for me :-O This has got to be (one of) the best cover(s) ever[^]. The original does not even come close :omg: I think many people don't even realize it's a cover.

And the cover isn't metal, so that's not a problem :) I know the cover got a lot of praise and many people prefer it over the original. I'm not a fan of the voice of Disturbed's singer (or of Disturbed as a whole). And I am a metalhead :laugh: Well, used to be I guess... So I'll take the original over the cover :)
