Hi, everyone. I was just wondering how you people first got to this site. How did you learn that a place called Code Project exists. Was it a banner ad, link, or search engine, etc. I personally first found this website on the Yahoo search engines. What about you guys / gals ? Chris, how did you advertise this site ? I would like to see all CP users respond to this. Thank You

Someone at pocketprojects.com said something about codeproject.com, in one of the forums. I have been here since :) - Anders Money talks, but all mine ever says is "Goodbye!"

I was doing my master thesis and spent a lot of time at www.godeguru.com. Then all of a sudden there was alot of remarks about "the other site" called codetools that was about to open soon. So I went there when it opened, and even though I could never get the forums to remember my settings ;P I stuck around. I rarley post, but I come here 3-4 times a day to check new articles and read the lounge (which is always entertaining :-D )

Same here, nice eye-catching aD in MSDN. OMG, could Microsoft have done something redeemable? i.e. Have a mag which CodeProject advertises in which developers actually read? WOW! ;) regards, Paul Watson Cape Town, South Africa e: paulmwatson@email.com w: vergen.org

I was searching for some Win32 programming information in Google, and kept getting results that included links to The Code Project. So, I started looking around, liked what I saw, signed up, and posted my first article last week! :-) -- Paul "I drank... WHAT?"

Same here. Kind of funny how it has since pretty much displaced CodeGuru. Oh how the times have changed. I sent in the two articles I had posted on GodeGuru, and soon after got an enthusiastic "thank you" from Chris. That was nice. :-) Nick

From CodeGuru. I find searching the forums etc. to be much easier on CP. I rarely go back to CodeGuru. I visit CP almost daily now.
