Not even close to being true. Looking at the gallery I'm not even sure if you could fit a twin 120 mm radiator in it (top clearance looks rather tight); nevermind the quad 140mm beast I bought my leviathan to hold.

Umm...That's a mid-tower case. Not even close to the size of the one I got. My case has a "basement" where the power supply goes, room for a second power supply next to it, and more room for a 420mm radiator. On top of that is a "midplate" that makes up the floor of the case where the motherboard goes. There's enough room, front to back, to put two full ATX motherboards, with enough room other that to put another 560mm radiator. And that's before you get into the expansion options on top of the case. I don't have a second motherboard, but I do have a 1.75l bottle of Jack Daniels, a fifth of Captain Morgans, a fifth of Johnny Walker Black, and a smallish bottle of Winter Jack in there. And my case, thankfully, doesn't look like R2D2.

Yeah, it took 3 hours to build. I don't mind that much at all. The case is considerably larger than my last one and weighs half as much. A consideration I had when picking it out because of the yearly ritual of taking the machines outside and blowing out all the dust in them.

A secondary concern is that AFAIK no one sells 200mm wide radiators; so unless the top is pre-drilled for 120/140mmm fans you'd need to mod it to mount them.

Dave KreskowiakI probably spent double that building it. Due to its size it's the heaviest system I've built. OTOH it's on castors so I almost never have to lift it to move. Just on/off the table when doing the initial build up.

Not it hasn't. Various[^] LGA[^] 115x[^] sockets[^] have been used for about a decade, but they've previously changed it out every two years with the new architecture. This may be the first time Intel's done it without changing architecture; but as a 3 generation socket LGA1151 has already lasted longer than any of its predecessors.

They don't make them as good as they used to, at least in the consumer sphere. The motherboard before this one died a fiery death when a SATA cable developed a short and shot sparks and flames out of the case. With the current motherboard, I had to send the first one I received back as it was DOA. I was pleased to get almost 3 1/2 years out of it considering the complaints that were pilling up on Newegg about it after I bought it.

3.5 years is still rather poor endurance; even if it is just long enough for the supply of new parts to be heavily depleted. OTOH at that age I'd be tempted to hit up fleabay for a used replacement to get another year or 3 out of the system. Both Intel and AMD are finally launching chips that can scale both wide (lots of threads) or tall (a few really fast ones) depending on the workload. OTOH these're first generation efforts on both ends; and driver/compatibility fun is affecting both platforms to the extent that I'd just as soon wait 6 months or a year for all involved to sort out their messes.

Dunno in which world you live, Fan[^] I finally understood now that you want to put a cpu cooling unit into the top of the tower X| this link[^] has some more pictures of the case. BTW from that link "ein weiterer 200-mm-Lüfter im Oberteil einbaubar, kann stattdessen einen 240-mm-Radiator aufnehmen," Means, instead of the one 1x200mm optional fan you can use a 240mm radiator.

I thought about that. After I restore the funds depleted with this little endeavor, I might just replace the motherboard with one from ebay and build a secondary system (assuming that the processor is still good).

}I'd rather put the radiator anywhere else; but that tiny case is cramped enough that the top is the only place that might be able to fit a radiator. And its less the CPU I'm concerned with - you can get quiet and effective tower coolers for them - than the GPU. Compared with the big and slow fans on radiator even the 3x80/92mm fans on an open air GPU (never mind a blower) are obnoxiously loud while gaming.

I probably spent double that building it. Due to its size it's the heaviest system I've built. OTOH it's on castors so I almost never have to lift it to move. Just on/off the table when doing the initial build up.

}I don't do LAN parties any more, since MPCON hasn't has an event in years. I had a full-size tower I lugged around. To make things easier I cut holes in the roof of the case to put a couple of these[^] handles in.

Yes! One of the things I love about this case is it's easily customizable after you buy the thing with these little kits.
