Hi All, Question for the hive mind...a meeting for the project I am involved with is on, I think. Walking across the car park I saw most of the people in it. I haven't been able to find an email invite or Hipchat mention I have the felling that it might be above my pay grade. So I won't barge in late... thoughts please... Yup, above my pay grade, I have been invited to the progress meeting next week. :)

Anytime I find out there is a meeting that I could have been invited to but wasn't, I thank my lucky stars! :-D

We are still sending emails to people that left the company a couple of months ago, with the expected answer that "email address inactive". Mailing lists are often bad managed and updated too late. As others told... in this case honesty (you didn't know that you should have been in the meeting) is the best option. If someone still to be blamed, at least it won't be you :)

M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Any meeting you weren't invited to is time for you to get stuff done. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Arrange for a really, really big cake to be delivered. Hide inside it and pop out when it's wheeled into the meeting room. That's sure to make an impression.

Don't barge in. It could be a meeting about something completely different that only happens to involve the same people as your project. Like others said, you weren't invited, respect that and use the time to get some real work done.

I wasn't complaining, I was just worried that I may get 'volunteered' to do something horrible like last time (I'm still battling with Ardriuno...)
