Again, you are taking it way too literal.

If you meant your post as "not serious" you could argue to use the joke type message.

(MQOTD rules and previous solutions)
Nope. I did not mean or even imply that PETA thinks animals should have the right to get a drivers license, or get married, or get a library card, etc. And you knew that.

I think you're just being purposely obtuse. I'm flattered you keep responding and trying to take this in other directions, but it's getting boring.

And I think you're just trolling.

I'm OK with you thinking that. You're wrong, but I'm pretty sure you've made up your mind and you are one of those that when told they are wrong, insist that they are not.

I'm accusing you of being a troll for your own good, the alternative explanation is probably worse.

So, I was right. When you are told that you have misjudged someone's intentions you still think you are right. That level of arrogance is one I cannot fathom.

You need to work on your comprehension skills. It seems PETA aren't the only ones you've failed to understand.

Clearly not!

I could google it, but I'd prefer to have a discussion to help me learn something. So, PETA and others believe animals should have the same rights as humans. But on what basis? Just because they are also living creatures? But then that would extend to plants and insects as well. I asked the other day but did not get an answer so I wonder if anyone is a PETA supporter or knows the answer.

As with everything absolutism is never correct. Some activists believe animals should have more rights. Probably claiming stewardship. I think a very few think that humans should just all die. Many want to promote humans as vegans. But others are ok with vegetarianism as long as there are much stricter rules on how the animal products are acquired. Some just want generally stricter rules in general.

PETA is a political lobbying group and its source of funding is based on treating certain animals in a certain way. They can only continue their influence (and income) by focusing on animals that people care about. It is calculated and refined to keep money coming in, nothing more. I knew a lady who worked at a big PETA office in Norfolk, VA. Many of the employees there eat meat and care nothing for PETA's values. It is just a job, a source of income, and political influence. They don't care about bugs (like mosquitoes and spiders), they don't care for plant's rights, and they probably don't care much for anything else either - except their income.

First of course the rate for divorce in those who are Roman Catholics in the US is the same as that for others but that doesn't make those people something besides Catholics. Second of course is the fact that someone that 'works' is in fact quite a bit different than someone that 'believes' in something. That is why Christian universities have specific rules in their employee handbooks about what the employees are allowed to do (such as not actually being homosexual.)
