Addictive Games

Without a doubt, the most addictive PS2 game (and I almost only play PS2 games) is SSX Tricky. I only remember three other games so addictive: Nemesis (MSX) River Raid (Atari 2600) Enduro (Atari 2600) I guess I am becoming too old :-O My latest article: GBVB - Converting VB.NET code to C#

It's a silly DOS game, but the fact that I'm still playing it must say something about it's allure. Either that or I'm just too cheap to buy a new game! :-D

I'm gonna go with the classics, though. I would spend hours upon hours playing Quake, Doom, and esp Duke Nukem. As far as non FPS go, my life used to revolve around only two games, Wizardry and Wing Commander. As of now I'm back to my boyhood fav, Kirby, for both the NES and SNES emulators. ...Zack... Totally arb game but I got so hooked it was scary. I loved watching my peons wander down paths, constructing windmills and mines. I still get out Settlers II ever now and then to play it. Fantastic game with very little fighting but it rocked. Command & Conquer was the other game that my friends and I got addicted to, used to have LAN parties for days on end of continous C&C. ION canon and mammoth tanks, man of man I rocked at that :-D

Settlers III was very addictive for me too (took about three months to get over that one, and that was only because the first CD got too scratched to work anymore). I lived for the little cries of "Yipee!" when the geologists found gold! :-D :-o I was going to buy Settlers IV when they first released it, but I was preparing for exams at the time and considered it a "bad investment". ;)
