You see, when I write articles for a magazine, people somehow associate my name to the magazine. The same thing happens with online articles: people will associate your name and your work to the containing web site. Taking an extreme example, I would not like any of my articles showing on a porn site. If you only want to be informative on your homepage, you could link the articles with the first paragraph. And yes, I often search for my articles on Google. My SQL Server do's and dont's article is often copied by other sites, and I don't agree with it. Normally, I only notify them, but other people may have stronger lawyers :) My latest article: GBVB - Converting VB.NET code to C#

Daniel, I am not sure that you can give anybody right to copy from this site, can you? You own your own article but not this site. jhaga CodeProject House, Paul Watson wrote: ...and the roar of John Simmons own personal Nascar in the garage. There is a question. Is this illegal if I copy this sources(Articles) to my home page? (of course , I'll notice the original writer) ;) There are two men, one is a programmer, another is a man.

I'm not gonna link, pal (except for the home page of course). I just wanna store them on my hard disk. That is allowed, isn't it? After all, it's strictly for personal use. I'm not going to distribute them in any way to anybody.

Thanks, Chris, for making it clear to everyone. But my question has gone unanswered: Is it OK for me to save the articles (and source, of course) to my hard disk? I was NOT going to upload them to any site anyway. I won't be distributing the stuff in any other way either- I'll be having them strictly for personal use. Of course, there'll be a link to the CP home page from my site. :) Thanks,
