UK economy grows by 0.6%[^] "This was driven by warm weather and a boom in housebuilding, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said. Rob Kent Smith, from the ONS, said: 'Growth in the economy picked up in the three months to July. Services grew particularly strongly, with retail sales performing well, boosted by warm weather and the World Cup. 'The construction sector also bounced back after a weak start to the year." Global warming, good for growth.

So what they are saying is Russia is good for the UK economy. Makes as much sense as you cherry picking the bits that fit your ideas ...

Even before GW; on warm days you sell more. Going from that to your statement of good for growth is a very large leap.

I'm not convinced that the "growing" of the economy was caused that much by increase in shopping during tourist-season.

That's what is largely influenced by warm weather, in a postive note. Already explained that in terms of production, things look a bit differently.

" you: "I'm not convinced that the "growing" of the economy was caused that much by increase in shopping during tourist-season" Feel free to argue with yourself, just leave me out of it. I find it hard to follow what you mean! The article I quoted made no mention of tourism, and neither did I. Just to restate that again. TO be clear.

That's why I am educating you on the subject :) Since you want to imply that "warming" is always good, and that even the economy benefits directly from it - which is utter nonsense ofcourse.

It is good of course, up to a point which is so much warmer than today it will be impossible to reach. In many ways. Which this article alluded to. None of which was tourism by the way, just in case you decide to start arguing with yourself about it again.

Please be considerate of others. While some sales have been up, the sales of blankets and jackets are down causing widespread panic in some areas.

I have repeatedly asked you to support your claims and each time you have been unable to do so. Here is another such case. Based on what little information you provided, there is no apparent relationship between the small growth in the economy and global warming. So where are the facts that support global warming is good for growth? Why do you persist is making unsubstantiated claims? This begs the question, what is your purpose here? To me, your behavior here is the very definition of trolling?

Newspaper link to a report showing increased growth in the hot summer. There is support. Of course if you knew anything about science you would know warmer/CO2 richer = more crops = GDP growth. Do you need 'support' for that too?

Newspaper link to a report showing increased growth in the hot summer. There is support. Of course if you knew anything about science you would know warmer/CO2 richer = more crops = GDP growth. Do you need 'support' for that too?

Unless you can demonstrate otherwise, there is link to report and there is no support for your claim. Moreover, until you can demonstrate otherwise, it seems clear you know very little about science and the little you do reveal is no tantamount to phrenology.

History is the joke the living play on the dead.

Where do you want to start, EM penetration of water and that it negates the theory of ocean uptake of GW heat?
