I never go to the theater any more, when it's out on DVD, I'll buy it. I mean, why would I want to sit in a scummy theater and put up with all the other clowns when I can watch it in comfort in my home in surround sound with a beverage of *my* choice? Whilst I rarely go to the cinema to watch new releases (distance and cost). There is nothing to beat seeing a film on a large screen with a THX sound system. Home cinema can never even come close. I always thought my set-up was great until I went and watched the re-released Star Wars at the cinema. After all those years watching it on my home cinema system, nothing compared to watching it up on the silver screen again. One day I'll have the money to buy my own cinema and turn it into my house, rather than turning my house into a home cinema. Michael 'War is at best barbarism...Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, more vengeance, more desolation. War is hell.' - General William Sherman, 1879

After the first weekend of the newly released Matrix movie and I am yet to see a post here in the forum ... did I already miss them? Am I too late? If so, I wanted to get in my 2 cents. THAT MOVIE ROCKED! Did you go see it already? Did you love it? (Note the lack of a second option to that question :-D) Seriously, what did you think? My personal favorite, by far, the Agent Smith(s) and Neo fight. Can we get a video game that can simulate combat like that??? :omg:

You get to be in the Matrix and you get to fight out of it, to join Zion (or not) and liberate your fellow electricity producing meat popsicles! Me and three other co-workers took an extended lunch to watch the first show in the theatre next door. When we sat down, someone mentioned wishing they'd eaten lunch, and then commented on how gritty the floor felt under his shoes, and as a group we lean forward to look at the floor. There were M&M's, potatoe chips, nachos, and a half-eaten hotdog. I thought about it for a couple of seconds, and said "Hey look, you can almost eat off the floor." The guy puked right there on the spot. ------- signature starts "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001 Please review the Legal Disclaimer in my bio. ------- signature ends

I didn't enjoy the movie the first time. But after thinking about it a while, some issues kept bugging in my head. Also, I learned that I missed the preview to Matrix Revolutions that appears right after the credits. So, I went a second time. You notice a lot more and comprehend the discussions a little better, especially when you know what happens next. (I don't know if comprehend is the right word? Because the questions are still somewhat mysterious). I am still disappointed somewhat with the movie, but I have to see Revolutions because I need some questions answered, and I believe the Reloaded movie will make more sense when everything comes together. Just like the matrix made more sense.

Oops! I hit the submit button too soon. But anyway, I was shocked that Neo chose to save Trinity over saving the world. And when he talks to Morpheus, and says the prophecy isn't true, when he could have rescued Zion. But, on the other hand, like Neo said, it was just another system of control that would replace the Matrix. The last scene when Neo stops the sentinels, makes you wonder if there are multiple matrices. Whether Neo is a program. or what... or whether everyone is still inside the Matrix. When the Oracle speaks to Neo, she never actually says that saving Trinity over saving the world was not the right thing. When Neo asks Oracle what if he fails, and she says Zion will fall, she never actually indicates what failure is. Thanks, Wes

Saw it the day it came out. I thought it sucked! Sorry, just my opinion but I really thought it was average at best. The big "hurly burly" fight scene was nothing like as "amazing" as the Wired article had me believe. It looked fake. If you are going to do something like that, it has to look real or it falls flat - no middle ground. No storyline. Repetitive fights. Dons flame-retardant suit ...

Ok now, even though you don't want to admit it, you know its easier to enjoy a movie after hearing spoilers 'cause you can ignore all that tension and suspence and just relax and enjoy your popcorn. So, here's The Matrix 2 Spoiler: Ready? u sure? ok now, 3 2 1 The butler did it. Yes! The butler! He, not the machines, enslaved humanity. And you never even suspected, did you? I bet you didn't even remember there was a butler in The Matrix! Hah! Ok, now go enjoy the movie in peace. :)

Try VCD's (Pirated copies :suss: ) They should be available in local video stores. Don't  and drive.

Thanks, Wes

:omg:

I liked it. Not nearly as good as the first one. I didn't think it moved the story along very much, but the small bit it did was pretty wild. Even more of a brain twister than the first one. I liked it better about two hours after I saw it, after I had a chance to talk to some people "So, when he said this, did you take it as meaning......" Now, if you just ignore the slow (and somewhat complex?) plot, and just talke about the fighting, that rocked. I've heard people complain that the fight with all the Smiths looked too much like a video game. I'll agree that in some spots it totally looked like a video game...but when you think about it, isn't the Matrix just a big video game? Maybe that's what it would look like if someone could actually do all that stuff? huh? Also, that last bit with the sentinals, I didn't really get? Don't quite understand what that meant. I don't really think that's much of a spoiler.
