Where's the Matrix Reloaded discussion?

Oops! I hit the submit button too soon. But anyway, I was shocked that Neo chose to save Trinity over saving the world. And when he talks to Morpheus, and says the prophecy isn't true, when he could have rescued Zion. But, on the other hand, like Neo said, it was just another system of control that would replace the Matrix. The last scene when Neo stops the sentinels, makes you wonder if there are multiple matrices. Whether Neo is a program. or what... or whether everyone is still inside the Matrix. When the Oracle speaks to Neo, she never actually says that saving Trinity over saving the world was not the right thing. When Neo asks Oracle what if he fails, and she says Zion will fall, she never actually indicates what failure is. Thanks, Wes

Give those of us who have not seen it and who have spent the last week avoiding every single review and spoiler a bit of a warning. Sitting here holding my hand over the rest of your post as I type. :)

After the first weekend of the newly released Matrix movie and I am yet to see a post here in the forum ... did I already miss them? Am I too late? If so, I wanted to get in my 2 cents. THAT MOVIE ROCKED! Did you go see it already? Did you love it? (Note the lack of a second option to that question :-D) Seriously, what did you think? My personal favorite, by far, the Agent Smith(s) and Neo fight. Can we get a video game that can simulate combat like that??? :omg:

Newport News, VA, USASaw it the day it came out. I thought it sucked! Sorry, just my opinion but I really thought it was average at best. The big "hurly burly" fight scene was nothing like as "amazing" as the Wired article had me believe. It looked fake. If you are going to do something like that, it has to look real or it falls flat - no middle ground. No storyline. Repetitive fights. Dons flame-retardant suit ...

But I really shouldn't give away too much. cheers, Chris Maunder

Ok now, even though you don't want to admit it, you know its easier to enjoy a movie after hearing spoilers 'cause you can ignore all that tension and suspence and just relax and enjoy your popcorn. So, here's The Matrix 2 Spoiler: Ready? u sure? ok now, 3 2 1 The butler did it. Yes! The butler! He, not the machines, enslaved humanity. And you never even suspected, did you? I bet you didn't even remember there was a butler in The Matrix! Hah! Ok, now go enjoy the movie in peace. :)

Newport News, VA, USAI liked it. Not nearly as good as the first one. I didn't think it moved the story along very much, but the small bit it did was pretty wild. Even more of a brain twister than the first one. I liked it better about two hours after I saw it, after I had a chance to talk to some people "So, when he said this, did you take it as meaning......" Now, if you just ignore the slow (and somewhat complex?) plot, and just talke about the fighting, that rocked. I've heard people complain that the fight with all the Smiths looked too much like a video game. I'll agree that in some spots it totally looked like a video game...but when you think about it, isn't the Matrix just a big video game? Maybe that's what it would look like if someone could actually do all that stuff? huh? Also, that last bit with the sentinals, I didn't really get? Don't quite understand what that meant. I don't really think that's much of a spoiler.

Try VCD's (Pirated copies :suss: ) They should be available in local video stores. Don't  and drive.

Me and three other co-workers took an extended lunch to watch the first show in the theatre next door. When we sat down, someone mentioned wishing they'd eaten lunch, and then commented on how gritty the floor felt under his shoes, and as a group we lean forward to look at the floor. There were M&M's, potatoe chips, nachos, and a half-eaten hotdog. I thought about it for a couple of seconds, and said "Hey look, you can almost eat off the floor." The guy puked right there on the spot. ------- signature starts "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001 Please review the Legal Disclaimer in my bio. ------- signature ends

Newport News, VA, USAAs usual, being having to be the negative one, I did not like it. Thought the first one had a store and the second one was searching for it. There is plenty of action, although redundant. It was like the fight seen with Neo and all those Agent Smiths.. It seemed like it went on forever without any results. I personally like story with action that enhances it. This was more like a Jackie Chan movie without any comedy. Of course, there are plenty of special effects but some are cheesy, such as when Neo pulled the sign pole out the concrete and started attacking everyone with it. When he pulled it out, the effects where horrible. Trivial, but I don't remember things that poorly done in the original. This one has a store line that is about 15 minutes long and the rest action. Like the battle on top of the semi-truck that seemed to go on and on. I only hope the third one in November has a story. It may just be me, but I thought in the trailer I saw that it had a shot of Morphesis and them coming up to the surface to find all those hundred of thousand sentinels attacking but did not see anything like that in the movie. Figured it might be a little from the next one in November. It was also disappointing to see them back track a story line in that Neo is still fighting hard with even normal people in the Matrix when in the last movie he could even take out an agent with one hand. We can only hope that there is another Matrix that they are in or something. Now that Neo appears to have super human ability in the real world that would shoot down the story line somewhat. The original store was very compelling and well thought out. This script seems very drawn out. Original Matrix Rocks, this only bumps :) Rocky Moore <><
