So as we all know GH gases affect the cold times, and places on the planet. This has been stated by the IPCC and son on many times. Is there any proof of this? https://4k4oijnpiu3l4c3h-zippykid.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/clip_image004-12.jpg[^] A degree C of winter warming, absoloutely no summer warming. It isn't Global Warming, it is Global Not So Cold. :) (And what the fuck are we worried about?)

Instead of eighty year old data which was before developing countries began to use significant amounts of fossil fuel look at the past fifty years.

Wasn't 2018 considered a very hot summer? How about record temperatures in Australia? It is their summer after all.

Dont forget a hot average is also caused by a higher Tmin. What this data shows is just that. The summer, Tmax temperature hasnt gone up at all. The winter, Tmin has. So yes, it has warmed, on average. But it isnt really warming, it is just less cold. And that is a big difference. Why? Plants and animals are not being exposed to new temperatures, temperatures they arent used to. They are being exposed to less extreme temperatures. Now tell me, how is that bad for life?

Fruit trees need a certain amount of cold time to produce fruit well. Less cold time means more insects survive the winter. Bad insects.

Now that sounds like a massive load of bollocks to me. Lets check... :) Apple Tree Climate Conditions - Wikifarmer[^] "Old farmers claimed that the apple tree could only produce good yields when cultivated at a certain altitude (above 1600 ft. or 487m.) and only if the tree had experienced annually some hundreds of hours of cold (cold is defined as the temperature below 42 oF or 5,5 oC). This was partially true for the varieties that were popular at that time. However, nowadays, the resiliency and adaptability of apple tree in general combined with careful variety creation and selection have enabled growers to cultivate commercially apple trees even in Africa" BZZT! FAIL! :) And of course the apple is the one fruit that is grown in cold climates. If you consider citrus fruits and bananas and tomatoes, and custard fruit, and bread fruit, and cumquats, and lychees, and peaches, and melons, and on and on and on, and on, and on, your statement is clearly wrong. These all grow only in warm conditions.

However, the good insects survive the cold better than the bad. So, we'll have a larger increase of bad insects surviving than an increase in good insects. The balance will be upset. Honeybees are very inefficient pollinators, it's the solitary bees that are efficient and help us the most.

It is the one fruit grown widely in cold climes. Very widely. Of course there are pears, probably the second most common fruit. Then the wild fruit, blackberries, etc. But you are ignoring the main point of what I said, intentionally of course. Many more species of fruit grow only in the tropics.

Now who is making it an argument! :) You ignored my point about fruit being, in general, a tropical plant. Which it is of course, despite the few species that grow in colder climes. Which allied to my link about apples being grown in Africa, means that your statement 'less cold = less fruit' is clearly wrong. We dont need cold to produce fruit. What we need is warmth mostly, and even those that do like the cold we can replace with ones that dont care. Now if YOU have issues with some species of apple growing in your garden because winters arent as cold as they are, ask yourself where this species of apple came from, why was it engineered, and for what conditions. And yes, all food produce has been genetically engineered for centuries, if not millennia.

You forgot winter wheat by the way. But we only plant those varietes because it is cold, if it wasnt cold, we wouldnt.

Now who is making it an argument! :) You ignored my point about fruit being, in general, a tropical plant. Which it is of course, despite the few species that grow in colder climes. OK, lets consider just the fruit you are growing. What fruit is it?

I have apples, pears, peaches, berries, almonds, apricots, grapes. I don't recall all of the species right now. Again, to what end?
