Exactly what I wanted to say - but I was afraid of being called sexist again ;)

I gave it a 1 because I thought it was more of a soap-box discussion rather than a lounge post. I don't know how true his experiences are, just thought it would be better in the soap-box. I don't think it was a soapbox item. Unbelievable story.... Yesterday I tried to order a new product recently released by CodeJock Software "Xtreme Command Bars". I submitted my credit card number using their online store. There were no notification sent by email... Online order status remained "Open" for a few hours... Two emails to sales department went unanswered... A post on message board was deleted... (Oh, now I understand why the message board is almost empty). HOW can it be??? Olga
How long have you been waiting? Did you try calling them by phone? CodeJock is a small (but very busy) company. Maybe they are having email problems and have been trying to contact you, or maybe your email server is having issues and has been bouncing emails from them. It's very easy to post a complaint on public boards across the net, and almost impossible for those being complained about to have a fair reply to all those complaints. If this had been going on for a couple of days, and you had not been able to hold of them in any way at all then fair's fair, but I do think you should allow people to be human and have their off days. cheers, Chris Maunder

That's bizarre - it's not very big (34K this week). Even hotmail should have no trouble receiving it, unless CP is on someone's spammer list. What servers have you tried?

Too high a threshold for some people. Some people cant sleep when they use a credit card and have to wait even a few hours for an online order to be fulfilled. Moreover, an 10-15 min international phone call could cost as much as 378.2 ml of fine liquor in some countries.

I don't know where they're located, but here in the US it's the beginning of a long holiday weekend. A lot of people take Friday off when Monday is a holiday so they can get as much mileage out of their vacation time as possible. If their online store requires manual steps to complete the order, they may be shorthanded today and slower than normal. Can you access your credit card account online to see if a charge has been entered?

Olga, I am the CTO at Codejock (we are located in Michigan). According to our database the order in question was processed yesterday and the product is waiting to be downloaded. We have just released three new products and have had a some difficulties with our online order processing (email notifications) that we our vendor has corrected. Our message board was just put online which is why it is mostly empty. Our site is completly new and we would interested in any of your comments or suggestions. Codejock is committed to providing quality service and products and will respond to these kind of issues as quickly as possible. Please email me if you have any other concerns. Thanks, Bob Bob Lindemann CTO blindemann@codejock.com

Repsonse times from Codejock can be thought of in terms of glacial melting. It takes a long time. You will receive a quick response within a month. It's too bad, because they are quickly losing loyal customers.

Robert, Codejock has just moved, put up a new Website, and released three new products. We have additionally added staff to concentrate on support and provide the best service possible. Thanks, Bob Bob Lindemann CTO blindemann@codejock.com

Good afternoon all, I have some concerns about the way this thread seems to be headed. To address Olga's post, Please see the below mail server logs. It appears that Olga's mail server is a little too secure and rejected us as a sender. If your mail server administrator would like some assistance resolving the issue, I would be more then happy to help. The notification by email for the online purchased has been resolved. We were experiencing a system issue with a Microsoft COM component. Turned out to be a bug in MSXML4 SP2. That issue was resolved at about midnight last night. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. The server and all applications are at 100% as of this morning. My contact information is listed below. If anyone has any issues with the website or mail server or anything technology related, and you are having difficulty getting in touch with someone, contact me day or night. Please try to go thru regular channels first tho. I would appreciate it. I hope this clears up any confusion or bad feelings towards, we are only here to help. 05:22 04:03 SMTPD(003F002E) [66.34.190.239] EHLO AspEmail 05:22 04:03 SMTPD(00000574) Authenticated onlinestore, session treated as local. 05:22 04:03 SMTPD(003F002E) [66.34.190.239] MAIL FROM: 05:22 04:03 SMTPD(003F002E) [66.34.190.239] RCPT TO: 05:22 04:03 SMTPD(003F002E) [66.34.190.239] \spool\D9252003f002e1724.SMD 1127 05:22 04:03 SMTPD(0040002E) [66.34.190.239] connect 66.34.190.239 port 2432 05:22 04:03 SMTP-(04B4002E) processing \spool\Q9252003f002e1724.SMD 05:22 04:03 SMTPD(0040002E) [66.34.190.239] HELO AspEmail 05:22 04:03 SMTPD(0040002E) [66.34.190.239] MAIL FROM: 05:22 04:03 SMTPD(0040002E) [66.34.190.239] RCPT TO: 05:22 04:03 SMTPD(0040002E) [66.34.190.239] RCPT TO: 05:22 04:03 SMTPD(0040002E) [66.34.190.239] \spool\D92520040002e18aa.SMD 504 05:22 04:03 SMTPD(0040002E) performing antispam checks 05:22 04:03 SMTP-(04B4002E) Trying rock-crystal.com (0) 05:22 04:03 SMTP-(04B4002E) Connect rock-crystal.com [66.96.207.181:25] (2) 05:22 04:03 SMTP-(04B4002E) 220 citadel.hostnoc.net ESMTP server (Post.Office v3.5.3 release 223 ID# 0-0U10L2S100V35) ready Thu, 22 May 2003 04:54:51 -0400 05:22 04:03 SMTP-(04B4002E) >EHLO mail.codejock.com 05:22 04:03 SMTP-(04B4002E) 250-citadel.hostnoc.net 05:22 04:03 SMTP-(04B4002E) 250-HELP 05:22 04:03 SMTP-(04B4002E) 250-EXPN 05:22 04:03 SMTP-(04B4002E) 2

Hi Christian, There is definitely a problem with Olga's mail server, we are reviewing the logs currently and will post what we have discovered. It appears that Olga's email server refused the past several attempts that we have made to send email. As far as the message boards go, they are brand new and have only been up for a couple of weeks, that is why there are limited responses there. If you sign up for the board, you need to reply to the automated email before you can post a message in order to complete the sign up process. In this case catch 22 because the mail server is refusing messages sent to it, olga could never finish the sign up process, and never complete a post. BTW - Send me an email, havent talked with you since you last worked for us ;)would like to catch up. Cheers, Kirk Stowell Codejock Software - Power Tools for MFC! http://www.codejock.com
