People get radicalised for a number of reasons. To blame an individual is simplistic. You need to just look at the psychology of conspiracy believers. Whether it be antivaxers, flat earthers or whatever. They deliberately seek information that support their beliefs and ignores any information that does not support it. It is social media / internet that tends to fed these people twisted views. If anything blame that. Trump may be the biggest idiot president US has ever had, but you cannot just blame him as he will be one of many of these smidgens of facts that have twisted the thinking and actions of wayward individual with obvious mental issues. Let's not forget the poor victims.

The problem is that islam and the west do not get along, they dislike the others values, and islam explicitly forbids mixing with 'kaffir'. This means there is zero chance of integration, as blacks and whites have, particularly through music. Second and third generation islamic immigrants are often more extreme. This creates more separation, more distrust, and more enmity. The rise in the right, and far right, and whack jobs like this guy, is a reaction. The cause is islam. There are two immediate choices. Civil war in 20 to 30 years, or we buy the houses and businesses off muslims and deport them to their ancestral homes. This isnt a big problem, many retire there, and spend a lot of time there, and this is the fair way to do it. Of course this course is unlikely. A third possibility is that islam polices itself. Defines a line in their ethics which is compatible with western values, and writes a new koran, creating a new western islam, much as we did with christianity. This means Wahabi islam, halal meat, the burkah etc must be rejected by muslims. They must accept womens rights, homosexuals, and mix with jews and christians. Some have already made this transition, but not enough, and are chastised by the bulk of islam, so this is also very unlikely to happen. So it is civil war. This action in NZ is just the start.

It is quite odd that our left leaning PC types who run the place these days are utterly blind to this obvious fact. We had full warning in 1988 what muslims are like in Europe when Rushdie released his Satanic Verses book. They went ballistic. And then we (UK) invited another 5 million in... Denmark had muslim riots when one of its news papers printed some cartoons of muhammed. It has now closed its border with Germany to muslims, banned the burkah, banned halal meat. Denmark, much of Europe in fact, seems to be more aware of where this is going though. Which is good.
