I just read an article about their content moderators, and some of the descriptions of content that they moderate, and it's f*ckin disturbing/disgusting what people post. I can't believe that people actually stay at such a job for more than a 20 minutes (and even that's pushing it). God help us if they put AI in charge of moderation. The computers will see/evaluate the attrocities that humans are capable of, and would rightfully decide it isn't worth keeping us around. They don't need the crap of those moderation queues, just seeing the "normal" news they might already come to that conclusion.

Also so that he can get richer every year from the filth that people produce online. Well there is a market for everything hence. The only way to stop Facebook and Instagram is for people to be made aware of the harms of social media and to express restraint in posting their views and biases in the open due to their lack of judgement and good behavior. I think the world leaders need to call him more often ... or else he needs to step down from the leadership as it has become a total failure worldwide..selling data and leaking data seems to be the only model the have for an advertising platform...

I would prefer to see the acts themselves stopped, and action against the perpetrators. As the guy Shawn Speagle said, even after he'd reported one particular video to the authorities, he still kept seeing the same video over and over again. Clearly the authorities failed to act. I would prefer to see the scumbags who commit these acts (including those who film them) found and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I thought there was a direct reference between an account and a real person! I would put effort into a vigilantism to curb this sort of offending. I understand the police are not resourced to do this and I would not trust FB to do anything (they are not doing anything now) but if the account details were made public there may be an opportunity for some payback against these arseholes.
