A reference to a video by "Timcast[^]" ? You should have asked Hannity. As for the 'founding fathers" disliking religion? I didn't say that. In fact, many were Freemasons, and organization that doesn't admit atheists". Also an organization that is opened to "all good men of faith" - but all faiths - and adopting none of them as "it's own". How do you think Freedom of Religion got into the Bill of Rights? Right up there with Freedom of Speech? What they also knew is that the government must strictly keep itself apart from religious entanglements or freedom of religion will go - to be followed by the remaining freedoms, except as authorized and interpreted by what amounts to the ruling church. Look at Ireland! Already the 21st century and they're still dragging themselves out from under a government that was all but run by the catholic church. Other theocracies? Iran. Erdogan's Turkey, Saudi Arabia, etc etc. Fine places to live . . . if you're a male muslim. In fact - if you look at the online groups calling for the armed overthrow of the US government - they seem to all be your typical black-hating, jew-hating, hispanic-hating bastards the right so deeply cherishes. Ask the Hump: "some of them are good people" as they march holding torches in an imitation of nazi rallies. And they don't call it the "christian right" for nothing. When not attempting to murder people on their way into a family planning clinic, they're right out there in their patriotic-colored outfits to show how proud they are. They need the outfits because if you look past the exterior you see everything that's worst in America. The opening few sentences of your video say it all - the only part he got wrong was pinning the blame on the left. Putin's man in the White House, however, is an obvious fact he'd rather not address.

I haven't looked, but given the fact that leftists spend all day calling people who have different opinions to their own as "Nazis", I dare say that is all that is happening here too. You think calling someone a Nazi is all that is needed to shut them down and delegitimise them, all while (with no sense of irony) burning books and assaulting and silencing political opponents. You know...the kind of things Nazis were rather fond of. And why should we be surprised? The KKK are a Democrat movement after all. Nothing much has changed.

No - I see them with their torches, anti-jewish (black/hispanic/etc) chants - and mock-nazi flags (and even attire) and let those attributes allow me to jump to conclusions. And who is it that shoots up houses of worship (and schools)? Right-wing inspired lunatics. Then, people like you, simple support those who deny it ever happened - such as your saint, Alex Jones. Or do you accuse him of being some sort of dirty commie?

If all of your arguments involve telling me who I am and what I believe then they're not really arguments at all, you're just trying to convince yourself.

I finally had the time to research your claim about the Betsy Ross flag and not surprisingly you're totally wrong. Turns out the experts - law enforcement, hate group monitors (whomever they are) - all say there is no connection between the flag and neo-Nazis. They say a few years ago, one minor group of losers flew the Betsy Ross flag at a couple rallies. It didn't catch on so they dropped it. They all agree that that flag has NEVER even remotely been a symbol of anything other than the American revolution. Your entire argument is based on... wait for it... a lie. Even your pet media has caught on to the lie and is now removing references to neo-Nazis from their articles. Instead they're just going with the silly idea that the Betsy Ross flag simply represents early America (when slavery existed) so it must be purged from existence. Your ilk is embarrassing themselves. Watching the progressive / leftist movement is like watching a slow motion train wreck. Sad but fascinating...

Nope. It's not as significant as I thought but if Nike made a mistake in pulling the shoe it's only because wing-nuts lost their sh_i_t over it. But I'm sure Nike expected it, because wing-nuts always lose their sh_i_t over Kaepernick.

Apparently so. Betsy Ross Flag: Why Colin Kaepernick Spoke Out Against Nike Sneakers – Rolling Stone[^]
Quote:
The American flag sewn by Betsy Ross is not a symbol of early American history that is totally devoid of meaning. It has been used by some extremist groups as a means of telegraphing a return to more traditionalist (re: predominantly white and male) American ideals. “Under the guise of ‘heritage,’ symbols of early U.S. history have long been adopted by hate groups set on returning to a time when all non-white people were viewed as subhuman and un-American,” says Keegan Hankes, research analyst for the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). “Historically, these symbols have been used by white supremacists, both to hearken back to a time when black people were enslaved, while also painting themselves as the inheritors of the ‘true’ American tradition.”
Quote:
“This is not a flag I see waving at events or seeing displayed on their websites,” Mark Pitcavage, a senior research fellow at the Center of Extremism at the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), tells Rolling Stone. It has, however, been associated with the Patriot Movement, an anti-government, extremist right-wing movement that encompasses smaller fringe movements such as the militia movement, the sovereign citizen movement, and the tax protest movement. (Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh was highly influenced by militia movement ideology.) The militia movement, says Pitcavage, is the youngest of the three, dating from about the mid-1990s, and has been using the Betsy Ross flag, among other Revolutionary War-era symbols, since its inception. “Because they view themselves as analogous to American revolutionaries, they love to use old flags from that era,” he says, citing the Revolutionary War-era “don’t tread on me” flag as another example. The Betsy Ross flag is apparently so closely identified with the Patriot Movement that until this morning, it was the main image of its Wikipedia page, according to reporter Charles Robinson. The idea that white nationalism is becoming a serious problem in the USA when white nationalists are nearly impossible to find is an extraordinary claim that requires extraordinary evidence. Since the evidence is thin-to-none, there's nothing to discuss, other than why political hacks are trying to make a non-issue into an issue.
