Most people know a load of cows is a "Herd", a load of Lions is a "Pride" but how many people know the correct collective (or group) nouns for politicians? My suggestions are: - A Turgid Moreass of.. (mis-spelling of morass is deliberate). - A Lie of.. - A Criminal Bunch of.. - A ^%%*&^%$ %$#^#$& ***&** of.. Sorry, got carried away there. Most collective nouns are single words such as in: a Murder of Crows, a Pack of Wolves, a Swarm of Bees, a Flock of Geese, etc. So what we need is a good, appropriate, single word to be used as a collective noun for politicians: Note: Please, no political messages or trolling - we still have a soapbox for that.

    - I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.

How about 'an incarceration of politicians' as it does, at least, indicate the preferred state thereof.

Well, the word politician comes from the greek polites, meaning citizen. Of a Polis which is a city in greek. So a City of politicians? Nah, I like Daniels version better.

And here I thought it came from poly, the Greek prefix for "many", and tics, small bloodsucking animals. :)

:) !!!!!! One of the albums I have on my phone includes a song by Joan Jett ("Wonderin'") which I'm sure also borrows from John Adams. It's very similar to "Is anybody there?" I haven't yet gotten around to ripping the soundtrack album to mp3.

Wouldn't that be a gaggle or skein of geese.

But I never wave bye bye

You are the Winner! The first person to spot my deliberate error. No-one else noticed. As a prize you may take the title of "Collective Noun Person of the Week" with all rights and privileges therein encompassed. Note: This title renews every Saturday so make the most of it.

                                        - I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.
