Recommend a good ASP.NET book
-
I'm currently doing some web stuff, I been on the www.asp.net[^] site and downloaded and changed the e-commerce sample starter kit. I was wondering if anybody could recommend a good ASP.net preferrably using C#. TIA. To iterate is human, to recurse is devine.

I've got "Beginning ASP.NET 1.0 with C#" from Wrox. I've not used it much as i've not found a decent host yet, but it seems comprehensive. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1861007345/qid=1054634391/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-4485323-6244631?v=glance&s=books[^]

I really like Essential ASP.NET With Examples in C# by Fritz Onion. He also has a vb.net version of the book too. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0201760401/qid=1054645631/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/102-0573081-0809737?v=glance&s=books [^]

"Programming ASP.NET" by Jesse Liberty is fairly good. Though it contains too much printed code. But it's pretty good at covering most of what you can do with ASP.NET. It's in both C# and VB .NET. http://www.libertyassociates.com/pages/Books.htm[^] Kevin

This book is awesome! Blows away every other book out there.
Hawaian shirts and shorts work too in Summer. People assume you're either a complete nut (in which case not a worthy target) or so damn good you don't need to worry about camouflage... -Anna-Jayne Metcalfe on Paintballing
