        that's quicker than i expected. I'm eager to see the elimination of the multiple CLI/CLR implementations.

              a lot will change before then. even more won't. ms would never eliminate anything they could simply extend bury in bloat.

                I think the count of alternate web frameworks now is in the 3-digit range. You probably would find something to satisfy you in that collection.

                    Do you see anthing revolutinary "new" in other areas of programming? Say, in new programming languages? Are not all of it (or at least 98%) just a new wrapping for concepts developed in the 1980s?

                      And based on programming constructs invented in the 1950s from mathematical theories developed in the 1930s using hardware architecture designs from the 1940s.
