Dude, just stay in the soapbox, its where you belong. Don't pick on the sensitive Loungers, cause I can't stand all the belly-aching! And to Vikram and others who vote 1's to all his (and mine) posts: Ignore him! He eats that crap for breakfast! (Yes, John eats crap for breakfast. Does that surprise you?)

Just to let you know, I really don't care what he writes, but he should follow the rules of the site and do it here in the soapbox. Its his native territory.

BTW, Chris chastised him just a couple of days ago in the Lounge. I'd rather he stick around than be banished (though I doubt Chris would do that).

Okay, we are in some sort of agreement. I guess the "C# India post" in the lounge was too much for John to resist. :-) Jason Henderson wrote: He then turned around and attempted to insult me. That is normal :-) the mere fact that John has bothered to insult you is an honor. Many people visit CP and miss out on being insulted by him. Jason Henderson wrote: Childish, vindictive behavior is not charming, IMO, To me it's just "text" and to read, real emotions and sentiment into CP forum messages, can lead people into delusional states. What's really surprising is that most people here find John "cute" in some grotesque way. How many times have you read somthing like "Haha, that's just John", or "That was unusually polite, John"? Many other boards would ban him for some of his comments. Anyway, just thought I'd add some fuel to the fire. ;P

John isn't "cute", he's <Fat Bastard voice>dead sexy!</Fat Bastard voice>. Seriously, I hardly ever find him cute, and sometimes I even find him rude and obnoxious. I don't agree with a lot of what he say but I do enjoy having him around, he definitely keeps things interesting around here. Brad Jennings "You're mom is nice. It all depends on your sense of humour, some people are just too sensitive. They'd not last five minutes in some of the places I've worked. Sarcasm, criticisms , rhetoric and cynicism etc don't translate well. Jason Henderson wrote: BTW, Chris chastised him just a couple of days ago in the Lounge. Probably with good reason once again, although Chris seems to think he owns CP now, which is a bit of a worry. Regardz Colin J Davies

Err no. I don't consider it an honour to be insulted by him. Quite the opposite. He's a sad, offensive, little man. I wouldn't miss him any more than Sergio. Tell you the truth most of what John says, or least the way goes about, is how I am with my buddies when we go out drinking, or when we're at work for that matter. It's crass, sometimes obnoxious, sometimes a little close to the truth, sometimes a bit extreme, but taken as some bullshit from the "peanut gallery" it's entertaining most of the time.:-D BW "I always wanted to be somebody, but now I realize I should have been more specific." - Lily Tomlin

Yeah, but your buddies don't mean it to hurt you, do they? He does much of the time. Read a little closer. Everyone can have their opinion - I've nothing against that. What bothers me is that it's somehow cool to be rude. It isn't - it's just rude. Any normal 10 year old can be offensive - it's when they're polite that other people pay attention... You can still have your "blunt old man". What we have here is an "obnoxious old man", an entirely different - and far less likeable - entity.

Mr Simmons has done his best to upset me - presumably because he can't handle the fact that I'm transsexual. Maybe his "malsculine pride" feels threatened - I don't know. Quite honestly it hurts, and it's uncalled for. I'm not drunk, and I'm deadly serious. He's done his utmost to try to hurt me - and I don't consider it "fun" or "sport". Conduct like that is unacceptable in the workplace, so why should it be applauded here?
