Toyota Tazz 1.3, goes damned well for such a small engine and as they say, reliable as hell. Driven from here to hell in back in it and the worst thing that has happened is ending up halfway through a macdonalds sign with a collapsed wall on my bonnet, it was the other guys fault of course ;) Take this a bit further: what car would you drive if you had all the money in the world? For me it is the Mitsubishi EVO VII or VI. Nothing beats it for sheer thrill and attitude. Looks like an outrageous Toyota but goes like a Diablo or 550. My next car though would be an Audi A4. Audi has such class and elegance. Of course inbetween the Audi and my current Tazz I want a Suzuki GXR600. Bikes rock! regards, Paul Watson Cape Town, South Africa e: paulmwatson@email.com w: vergen.org

An Audi A4? Why not do it properly and get an Audi S8? Excellence without Excess. Yeah baby! Or for a runabout I'd love to grab an Audi TT convertible or for a weekend in the mountains, a Mitsubishi Pajero Evo. Back on Planet Earth it's a '93 Ford Telstar TX5 SE, V6. Fits 2 mountain bikes, 2 snowboards, and a couple of guys with no self preservation skills. Alternatively, on a good day it's a Merida extreme 907, or on a bad day, my Merida Pro SX. cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

Send us some pics James! Tons of my friends had beetles. My best friend is up in Brisbane with a '73 (?) Kombi pop-top with a surfboard strapped on top, a mountain bike on the back, and all his worldly posessions (including a Mac G4) inside. He's my role model for the perfect life. cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)

Kombi (South African word that!) parked behind and a good braai (sorry, barbey) on the beach. The bus is for the short trips, I take the train for longer journeys even though with the current state of the rail network sometimes the train companies have to provide a bus :-) Michael :-)

                mas·och·ism (ms-kzm) n.

                • The deriving of sexual gratification, or the tendency to derive sexual gratification, from being physically or emotionally abused.
                • The deriving of pleasure, or the tendency to derive pleasure, from being humiliated or mistreated, either by another or by oneself.
                • A willingness or tendency to subject oneself to unpleasant or trying experiences.

So I take it number three is your posion? Unless of course your the "I ride the bus, in my trench coat, just a trench coat, I love the feel of vinyl on my bare as..." type... Actually if I lived in London I would take the tube or bus myself. Pretty pointless trying to go to work in a car there. I would however miss the freedom of being able to A: drive on the road or B: run down helpless pedestrians in side walk cafes. ;P regards, Paul Watson Cape Town, South Africa e: paulmwatson@email.com w: vergen.org

Currently driving with a Opel Astra Break 17DTI. Bought it last year and I'm very happy with it. Our second car is a Opel Kadett 1.6 Diesel with almost 300.000km on it.

Runs just fine, except for the "concrete suspension". :suss: The car (not me) retires in december, after which I hope to buy an "overclocked" Alfa R 155 2.0 Bi-Turbo with over 250 HP. 0-100 Km/h in under 5 seconds. -------------------------------------------------- If my messages appear curt, I apologize. No gun, just the rack. Sometimes I put my son's bb gun up there just for affect. When I'm feeling really froggy I put my Confederate battle flag plate on my front bumper. Just doing my part to reduce the life expectancy of liberals by keeping their blodd pressure high ;)
