That is the most convincing argument for not having the jab I have yet heard ... :-D

Does any one here know or have some information about how safe it is to get the Covid-19 shots if one has unknowingly been exposed to the virus without any severe complications. I want to go for the vaccine but I'm not certain if I have had the virus or not & I have idea how safe that would be.

I have been volunteering in the vaccination centre in my home town, and this is one of the top 3 questions. Having had COVID counts as a vaccine shot. People who were exposed to the virus get only one shot instead of two in France. In any case, do not be afraid of anything, a doctor or a nurse will ask you the correct questions before giving you the shot to avoid any risky situation.

I had the virus (a mild case) and 6 months later the shots. No real adverse reaction aside from some fatigue.

doctor's here in the States do not want you getting a vaccine shot until 90 days out from last good test if you have been hospitalized with COVID-19 (as my close friend was, almost died). -- now that is worse case scenario (aside from death). What I recommend you do is consult a professional doctor (not a nurse, not a friend, not a family member, not the internet, not a wanna-be covid expert), but an MD and explain your situation and get their recommendation. my 2 cents.

ANECDOTAL... I've received my 2nd shot yesterday. (1st one was Astra Zeneca, 2nd was Moderna). No issues or side effects yet (other than arm hurting and some fatigue).

I'm having a slight problem with that statement. First, how do you know if a doc doesn't know? I really wouldn't know that they don't know. Secondly, If you allow me to use an analogy, there are plenty of quite brilliant older programmers that perhaps doesn't have a clue about Linq for example, but they're still quite able to solve the problem in front of them. Hmm, that's perhaps not the best analogy, but I hope you get my drift.

Don't put all doctors on a pedestal. Don't forget that there are s****y, opinionated people in every profession. I'm not suggesting "consulting the internet" is any better. I just generally object to such blanket statements.

I think a person has much bigger problems in their life, if they don't trust their primary care doctor. I also think a person has even bigger problems in their life if they don't have a primary care doctor.

Actually not, I wanted to say that I don't necessarily want to change doctor because he/she has outdated knowledge, there is so much more to it than that. And the same goes for programmers.

The vaccine protect acquiring disease SARS on severe form and also cut the chain and reduce the infection. It is highly recommended put only one dosis of Pfizer vaccine because reduce complications in the future. Anyway the coronavirus cure with clorures. If you ingest regulary bottle water or tap water both contain Cl you dont might have problems of infection.

Wheeler's specialization of Sturgeon's Law[^] to the Internet states: "99.97% of everything on the Internet is crap." It is worthwhile noting that the percentage is asymptotically approaching 100% as time goes on.
