Oxygen not Included; 3041 hours Rimworld; 6546 hours That's just the single player ones.. Been on/off playing Warcraft, and now playing Diabolo 3. After logging all these hours you might expect an experienced gamer. I'm definitely not :D

Superhot (lab scene in endless mode only) on PC and Scrabble on phone for burning time. Severed Steel third, but I like it's music better than the gameplay, I am growing old for action games.

Currently I am playing an ancient game, commando's behind enemy lines. I was talking with someone about ancient software and games and then I remembered this one, so I searched on it and found that many old games are "fixed" to run on modern windows. I guess in a week or so I loose interest again...

Sim racer here, play iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione. A great way to switch off your brain!

Nope. I'm a developer; not a user. (Users are losers.)

Yes, currently "World of Tanks". Why? because I enjoy giving the Russian mafia financed developer team all my extra spending cash. :sigh:

I've been playing computer games since the seventies (Colossal Cave started it), but Doom (and then Doom II) became an addiction. It's GTA V at the moment - the new (and free) Contracts DLC is pretty good, and great for grinding. Especially this week when Payphone Hits (Assassination missions with an optional-but-lucrative bonus for taking them out in a specific way such as driving them into the sea in a taxi) are paying double. And the Dr Dre contact missions introduced me to the Combat MG which is now my weapon of choice. When I grow bored of that, I'll probably move to The Witcher III.

Currently playing Witcher 3. Previous addictions have included Shogun Total War (the very first Total War title - still play it...), Medieval Total War (the first version), European Air War (flight sim) and Fallout: New Vegas. Have finally weaned myself off Borderlands and Borderlands 2 - six weeks clean and taking it day by day....

Like to play Age of Empires. Working on an implementations of 19th century Prussian / British / American "war gaming". Have found the roots of current games rules back to 1824. Only the distances, fire and casualty rates change. And formations. They had tables, index points, scaling factors, peg boards, "sounding boards" used to count off without looking. Large scale maps and true-to-scale unit blocks (a first). Standards and time intervals which could be varied according to the situation (frames). Lots of data collection and analysis. Just missing a computer. Also, they had the "fog of war" (multiple maps; screens). And the uncertainty / friction factor (dice). The AI / final call was an umpire.
"Before entering on an understanding, I have meditated for a long time, and have foreseen what might happen. It is not genius which reveals to me suddenly, secretly, what I have to say or to do in a circumstance unexpected by other people; it is reflection, it is meditation." - Napoleon I
Can't belive yours is the only mention of Age of Empires. I was too young to play AoE1 so I started off with AoE2 and then AoM and AoE3. I bought all the definitive editions on Steam and am now trying out AoE4 on Gamepass but will probably wait for a deep discount before buying it on Steam. You?
Cheers, Vikram.

Nope. Tried it, to understand what the hype was about, but to be honest my brain threatened to leave me I continued. I play complex puzzle games on my phone if I have nothing else to do.

I'm kind in a lull in my game playing. Been replaying Fallout 4, Fallout 3, Skyrim (done with them for now) Been playing Fallout 76 (mostly stopped playing), Cyberpunk 2077 (mostly stopped playing, waiting for patchs/updates) , Age of Empires 4 (mostly stopped), Humankind (stopped playing, not my kind of game). Waiting for Starfield.

RPGs and FPSs. I loved the old (pre 2016) Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein up to RTToW. I am a sucker for The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, plaed Mass Effect trilogy a dozen times, now I'm investing a lot of time on Assassin Creed Valhalla. I also loved Deus Ex (whole saga), F.E.A.R., Dying Light, Crysis. Going into retrogaming (since I started gaming in 1993 it's more like nostalgigaming) Monkey Island, King's Quest, Prince of Persia, Quest for Glory (I love QfG V) and a lot more that I forgot in time. EDIT: and of course I forgot the Witcher (all 3 of them), Two Worlds, Warframe (over 800 hours). Also I played and forgot Leisure Suite Larry, a couple of versions, Star Wars Squadrons, KOTOR, KOTOR2, Star Wars: Jedi Knight, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds, SimCity all versions (including the first one, yes), Carmageddon and Carmageddon II, Need For Speed 3, GTA 3, GTA 4, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas, Hard Reset Redux, Duke Nukem, Duke Nukem II, Duke Nukem 3D, Final Fantasy from I to XII and XV, Final Fantasy Tactics, Metroid Prime, Tales of Phantasia, GameBoy Advance games of LOTR (on emu)... I can stop here, I think the picture is complete :sigh:

I play Minecraft. I like the creativity of building with a limited set of blocks. I just finished a Swiss Chalet in the snowy peaks biome. It still needs some furnishings and landscaping, but it's all "weathered in" and has some basics like a huge fireplace with armchairs and a love seat, and the entry hall has its bookcases and armor stands, but needs a chandelier and stone benches. Since the roofs are all wood (mostly dark oak for contrast with the snow - planks instead of stairs for slope and to get snow on the roof), I need a lightning rod nearby, so I'm adding a huge satellite dish up the mountain a bit which will have a lightening rod on it.

At the moment XCOM2 and some other favourites are Skyrim and FreeOrion. tactical-rpg-games-on-steam[^] light-weight-strategy-games-on-pc-like-ck2-eu4-or-vic2[^]
My current favorite is Skyrim -- I prefer games with a large fan-created mod base, as there are new things to try. zDoom is an open source version of Doom that runs on current platforms, and will run the WADs from Doom, Doom II, Heretic, Hexen, and a few more. The graphics are certainly 90's, but still fun. And more than Skyrim, there are a huge number of replacement WADs. If anyone is into old arcade games, try MAME. It will execute the ROMs from old games -- if you can get the ROMS.
