Is there a ccc on Monday?

... given we have a Bank Holiday over here and it is a Brit setting. Of course, being a Welshman Pete may or may not be overly excited about proceedings. I just wish the TV companies would take it seriously and provide a bit of coverage* ... *For those not in the UK this should have massive sarcasm tags as the coverage is now so blanket-like you can turn on TV 24 hours a day to watch the queue of people waiting to walk past a coffin. And "news" involves asking people why they're waiting in a queue to walk past a coffin. :omg:
That's up to Pete - I'm easy either way. Looks like Canada might be as well? https://www.officeholidays.com/calendars/2022/09/19[^] Let's ask him: @petepjksolutionscom It could be an interesting funeral though - it's also Talk Like a Pirate day, so ...

Just going by precedent on other Bank Holidays. pkfox might be too grief-stricken to be able to oblige. And of course HMQ was head of state 15 countries (with several dozen more in the Commonwealth) even if the USA did resign from the club some time ago. So, slightly wider than a UK holiday ...

So let's be clear for all the world to see. Are you making the claim that codeproject.com has historically been under the control of [Her Majesty the Queen](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The\_Crown) and that [moving forward will continue](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles\_III)? At this juncture I'd like to ask @chris-maunder and @davidcunningham to confirm this. Members of the community need to know under what jurisdiction the site is operated. This is a formal inquiry. Best Wishes, -David Delaune

Quite obviously I am not claiming any such thing. Just asking a question about the ccc.

Well, I would like a statement from @chris-maunder or @davidcunningham confirming that we cannot post puzzles on United Kingdom holidays. Codeproject is an international site, there are so many holidays to honor. We need clarification on the subject.

In the Canadian long-standing tradition of clarity and decisiveness, Monday will be a holiday depending on where you are and who you work for: Canadians get a holiday to mourn the Queen? It depends[^]. For other examples of this national trait see "Conscription if necessary ... not necessarily conscription"[^] and Jean Chrétien - A Proof is a Proof - YouTube[^]

The only date that a puzzle can't be posted is January 29.

You can't post a puzzle on [National Puzzle Day](https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/puzzle-day/)?! :wtf: Or is it in honour of [Curmudgeon's Day](https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/curmudgeons-day/)? :) EDIT: beaten by Greg

If someone could convince the King to talk like a pirate I might even watch it.   Actually if he did that, I'd probably just watch a highlights video a few days later when the news finally dibbled into my zone of awareness.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius

Should King Charles give his Eulogy in piratical argot, the Queen would likely spin in her grave before she is properly in it! :omg:

It would be even better to have John Cleese do the eulogy. :-D
