We are looking forward - not really - a hot wave of 42+C (~108 F) this weekend... What were you doing in that kind of heat?

In times like this owning a house near the woods is priceless.

I agree, although our Czech cabin in the woods that we rented lately had it's downsides, the temperatures were a lot more agreeable than the +30 degrees Celsius in the Netherlands :-\

Installing a small system in Kuwait. And celebrating my 50th birthday while I was there.

Sounds like a lot of distance in between the two places but that’s not a problem if you’re WFH obviously

I was there during my holiday, it was a long drive indeed from the Netherlands to the cabin south of Prague, but luckily we had no big traffic jams and the trip went smoothly.

Greetings from Phoenix, AZ. At 108F we go about our normal day. It looks like 118F is forecast for this Sunday. Actually, we do try to get up to the higher elevations of the northern part of the state as much as we can in the summer. It looks like 107F in Sedona (4300 ft elevation) and 96F in Flagstaff (7000 ft elevation) on Sunday.

Why do they call it heat wave? What takes place matches a flood.

I have been to Arizona when it has been 120F during the day and 95F at night. A person's brains turn to scrambled eggs at 120F. I haven't been right in the head, since.

And then it's broken by fifteen minutes of rain coming at you sideways.
