We are looking forward - not really - a hot wave of 42+C (~108 F) this weekend... What were you doing in that kind of heat?

Greetings from Phoenix, AZ. At 108F we go about our normal day. It looks like 118F is forecast for this Sunday. Actually, we do try to get up to the higher elevations of the northern part of the state as much as we can in the summer. It looks like 107F in Sedona (4300 ft elevation) and 96F in Flagstaff (7000 ft elevation) on Sunday.

I was there during my holiday, it was a long drive indeed from the Netherlands to the cabin south of Prague, but luckily we had no big traffic jams and the trip went smoothly.

I actually live in the forest... Like the line of the trees is less than 6 meters from my front door

Why do they call it heat wave? What takes place matches a flood.

I have been to Arizona when it has been 120F during the day and 95F at night. A person's brains turn to scrambled eggs at 120F. I haven't been right in the head, since.

And then it's broken by fifteen minutes of rain coming at you sideways.

We've been here year-round since 2004, once we could no longer afford SoCal.

So I guess all the snow has melted at the Snow Bowl north of Flagstaff? We visited in April and they were still skiing there. Scottsdale, then up to the Sedona area and took the drive up to Flagstaff as something to do.

I’ve given up trying to be calm. However, I am open to feeling slightly less agitated. I’m begging you for the benefit of everyone, don’t be STUPID.
