Went to the Emergency department on Monday night with a pain in my stomach and vomiting, to having a 2.3cm gall stone blocking my gallbladder. Left Saturday night minus a gallbladder and found out I have type 2 diabetes. Life took a left turn...

I immediately checked out the book, then found that, while it is $2 and ships to the US, they want $37 shipping! Wish I could find it locally, though... I'd really like to try it.

Have been regularly practicing some of the Yoga postures told in this book - [Yogasanas – Advaita Ashrama](https://shop.advaitaashrama.org/product/yogasanas/), and belly has fat reduced to near zero, type 2 diabetes is under good control (with minimal medication). Overall good. Am 58 years of age. Note: Not sure whether that Yoga book is available outside India, but you'll find equivalents. (Converted to USD, the cost of this book is less than 2 $ in India)

congratulations ! i got seriously into hatha yoga about 1966, pranayama a while later ... i use neti kriya now prior to pranayama before "empty mind, no goal" (Vipassana) meditation. practice ? off and on for 34 years ... imho practice helped give me wonderful health for almost sixty years :) i was never a follower of any guru, or particular school ... was certainly no saint ! :) “Wisdom tells me I am nothing; love tells me I am everything: between the two, my life flows.” Nisaragadatta

oh no ! i'm not cut out for "yogi" at all: the techniques have always been a form of psycho-physical/neurological exercise for me. the theistic (raja) and theistic (jnana) aspects never interested me. cheers, just plain old man, bill

Sorry to hear that man. The upside is, diabetes is completely manageable these days at least. If it's type 2 that is. Hope all is well, considering.
