When you're driving on sidewalks, how fast do you go? My speed record for driving on a sidewalk is 63 mph. What about you?

I drive on roads, just to be on the safe side, in the event I encounter a driver like you.

Driving on the sidewalk is like riding a jet ski in a swimming pool...somebodies gonna get hurt!

This is in particularly poor taste. You do not know if anyone reading this has lost a loved one to a vehicle that mounted a curb. Such attempts at humor are quite likely to retraumatize, possibly triggering a PTSD event. Stop trying to be funny. So far, speaking for myself, its just been annoying.

I've lost a loved one who was a pedestrian that was hit by a pickup truck.

Anything could trigger something in someone. Where do you suppose we draw the line? Is it up to you to determine if someone is triggered, or not? Let's ask everyone, here. Are any of you triggered by my post into a psychotic episode? Does this mean we should avoid all humor whatsoever, just because you're worried about triggering someone? Who are you to condemn free speech?

I have a good idea. Maybe you should relax, and quit taking yourself so seriously. If you don't think its funny, no one else cares. I'm not going to ask for your opinion on what's funny, and what's not. Do I need your permission in order to post something? Here's an even better idea, when you see any post with my name on it, don't click on it. No one owes you anything, and you are not entitled to anything. Go ahead and signal your virtue to all, I'm delighted at how woke you are. No one's getting hurt, or offended, or crying. ...Except for you.

You consider that to be a good idea? OK, you want me to think about what you'd prefer to read before posting to this forum... What justifies your entitlement? Does the world revolve around you? If it does, then why? Is it my obligation to facilitate your sense of humor? Am I supposed to make you laugh? No. You have no authority to dictate to anyone what they should, and should not post in this forum. If you don't think something is funny, then don't laugh at it. If I think something is amusing, I'll post it if I choose to. It doesn't matter if I'm the only one who finds it amusing, I have the right to express myself however I choose to. Before you criticize me, it may be a good idea to reflect upon your own demonstrated audacity and arrogance. Why is it that you assert that my posts must cater to your preferences?

It's not my fault that you didn't adequately communicate what you wanted to say. When communicating via text, keep in mind that most of what you are communicating is lost. No one can see your body language. No one can hear the tone of voice you're speaking in. I shouldn't have to teach you this. Perhaps if you were to think before you post something, you'd be better able to communicate what you have to say. Please consider that. What is it that you're attempting to accomplish here?

I'm not feeding them. They're purposefully antagonizing others while denying the very fact that their motivation is to demean and provoke others.

When you're driving on sidewalks, how fast do you go? My speed record for driving on a sidewalk is 63 mph. What about you?

I upvoted your post and gave you a thumbs up. Why? You're demonstrating who you are by what you're willing to say. You're showing your true self, and you're being honest. What kind of person would say such a thing? I've lost all respect for you, and it's not my fault. It's not my choice. Having read through all the replies in this thread, I find yours to be the most reprehensible of all. For every one of you who took the initiative to post nasty and provocative replies, I would like to thank you for showing your true colors. It's tremendously disappointing to me that a simple joke is all it takes for you to eagerly unleash such vitriol. It's unwarranted, it's derogatory and completely unfounded. I know the truth. I'm not trolling anyone. You don't have to believe me, but you cannot refute the truth that I possess with what you do not know, or understand. Who do you think you're hurting? You're hurting yourselves, along with the decent people who belong to this forum. You should be ashamed of yourselves for willfully inflicting damage upon the otherwise good reputation that CodeProject has rightfully earned through dedication and hard work by so many people. Prospective members and advertisers will read this thread, and they will choose to go elsewhere. I can't blame them. You're given the opportunity to present yourselves, yet you collectively choose to behave like animals. Why would I want to surround myself with people like you? Why would anyone associate with you? This site is what you make it, and you clearly demonstrate what you want it to be. If you want to be hateful, so be it. Just don't complain when the consequences of your actions come full circle. It's your own fault.

That explains why Fiats are so narrow! I see them on US highways and they look so under-sized!
