I see zero peripheral vision, and a likely tendency to disregard others. This is dangerous - no situational awareness, and narcissistic-behavior-inducing - nobody matters but me. No thank you.

It will suck not being able to see peoples eyes. It's bad enough that I often only see the tops of peoples heads as the stare at their phones.

Kind of like what is already been happening, only worse.

Video summary: A very famous youtuber walks through New York city while wearing the Apple Vision Pro. You really have to watch, because it basically simulates people who are out of their mind and hallucinating another world. But, of course, since you'll be paying someone for this and the video is basically a commercial, the youtuber says it is the greatest thing ever and everyone will have one in the future. X|

There were science fiction stories written about this technology 50-60 years ago. They did not end well for the human race! The more technology advances, the more I feel like a Luddite!

I can see marketing claims and fanboy stuff. Some of things that are not mentioned. Vision Pro has a 2.5 hour battery. With a cell/mobile when you stop using it it goes in the pocket or purse. Claims that it will get smaller, but the tech is now effectively 10 years old and it is still almost the same size. I wear glasses all the time and I really do not like it. Even more so as I get older. With glasses rain, snow, cold are certainly a problem. You want to stop in the park for a pick up game (basket ball, frisbee, whatever) are you going to leave a $3000 small transportable piece of equipment on the edge of the field? I have damaged/broken glasses in a variety of ways. I have seen other people manage to destroy a cell/mobile on average of once a year. So replacing that is going to be expensive. Making real entertainment content in 3D is more expensive than other content. But the general consumer does not have an uptick in disposal income to match the production cost. So either they do not buy it at all or they buy fewer titles. I believe the 'not buying it at all' is what most of the market sees now. For business users waving ones hands in the air all day (versus a keyboard) just does not work. They have already tried solutions like that and no one uses it.

Ford F150 pickups have a "feature" that, if you're backing up and there's something behind you, it will stop the truck. Sounds reasonable, doesn't it? However, the other day, I had road salt build up on the backup camera and it wouldn't let me back up because it couldn't "see". No matter how smart AI becomes, it will never be as adaptable situationally as the human brain.

Check your truck's settings. My Dodge Durango has something similar but I can explicitly turn off the "backup protection" feature; the off only lasts until the engine is turned off. Since I use it to haul a horse trailer, I need to be able to turn that "help" off when I'm backing up to hook up the trailer
