I don't think this will be war in the traditional sense. Whoever is found responsible is going to be wiped out. Simple as that, the US is not going to stop till every corner is cleaned, every pocket, dead. It will be a short and bloody war, with all the blood being the terrorists. regards, Paul Watson Cape Town, South Africa e: paulmwatson@email.com w: vergen.org

The thing is, we've all been warm and fuzzy about immigration in recent years, and so we should be. But who knows how many of these immigrants ( I'm not suggesting it's a majority, but it took three out of the thousands upon thousands pouring into the US to do this mornings work ) are really sleepers for an organisation like this ? If they want to start something like this, do you think they don't anticipate the response of the US ? I wondered when I heard that all air traffic in the US is grounded as of now if that was part of the plan - can you imagine how much that will disrupt the entire country ? I can't help but feel the US is so open about it's policies that these people know exactly what the US will do next, and have a plan that they at least consider could result in their achieving more than getting shot or blown up. Has anyone heard what the going price on a nuke is lately ? Christian As I learn the innermost secrets of the around me, they reward me in many ways to keep quiet. The "6-dead" figure is from the 1993 bombing, NOT from today.

                    > Has anyone heard what the going price on a nuke is lately ? I imagine that the terrorists that did this could get at least one for free (and only detonated once).

I don't think any country can be totally secure. You will be limiting trade, tourism and so much more. Plus a plot like this one would have circumvented any immigration control. From bribery to coming in through the cargo in ships. No way you can stop all that. Anyone ever watch Fight Club? Just flashed through my mind that. It may be sick but for once the terrorists have done something "right" in targetting the Pentagon and the WTC. They have real attention now. regards, Paul Watson Cape Town, South Africa e: paulmwatson@email.com w: vergen.org

You should sell your technology to CNN. I can't even get a 404 page out of them :) Once this whole horror day is over and things start returning to normal (and people are a bit more rational and less trigger happy) I think it would be a good topic to discuss just how the worlds internet news network actually just is not ready for prime time. Lets face it, CNN are hardly a piss willy bunch of guys with 5 bucks to spend on servers. Their setup must be pretty impressive and yet here we see them pulling down their main page and replacing it with the smallest file possible and still not handling the demand. lol, no wonder my dad would rather have a radio than a internet connection. regards, Paul Watson Cape Town, South Africa e: paulmwatson@email.com w: vergen.org

I shudder to think of the numbers that CNN must be getting at the moment. It seems that the entire world has stopped to watch in horrified fascination. An entire country full of office workers trying desperately to get news, all hitting CNN at once. I guess they have simply throttled bandwidth to keep the site up. You wont get a 404 or even a 'Server too busy' becuase your request probably isn't even making it that far. With a load like that CP would last about 2 secs. The thing that I'm really, REALLY dreading now is the media circus. cheers, Chris Maunder (CodeProject)
