Just stick with cowboy coffee. All else is for wimps! :)

When I was old enough (maybe 10) I was weened on cowboy coffee. It was the coffee of choice for my Father. It was The Army version of coffee in the field was cowboy coffee. My coffee of choice now is from a drip machine.

MSN Crushed Eggshells Are The Secret To Better Cups Of Coffee[^] Have not yet attempted but looking forward to. "Much becomes obvious in hindsight, ... The only coffees I drink are brands that use only Arabica beans. Cheap coffee made with anything else, like Robusta beans, taste like cr@p!

Ok, I have had my coffee, so you can all come out now!

Greetings Kind Regards I just ordered Yuban from Amazon as it has the lowest acrylamide content. The best coffee I ever had was Folgers ground many years ago. That's another story. I will say though it actually tasted like coffee :java:. Since then I have yet to taste a coffee which tastes like coffee despite spending modest sums in the search. That's the story.

That sounds about as appetising as using glue to keep the cheese on your pizza.

I attempted it today. The brew seemed somewhat smoother than usual. Maybe I should try it on pizza too to take the edge off the glue.

Crushed eggshells are almost pure calcium carbonate, which one can get in most pharmacies. I'd rather add that to my coffee than something that has been in direct contact with a chicken's cloaca. X| (The inside of the egg hasn't been in direct contact, which is why I eat the inside of eggs.)

Thank you for the information however I am not certain CaCO2 powder can easily be filtered out as I have enough difficulty w/ so called "stalling".

The title is misleading. Should say "For the Coffee Snobs". I drink coffee every day, but its just a bit of Folgers and I'm quite satisfied.

Same here. My wife and I prefer the simple Maxwell House Columbian. I'm only a snob* about the coffee maker. If it isn't a Bunn it's going to make crappy coffee for my tastes. *Okay, I'm a snob about a few other things, but let's not change the subject.

It all sounds a bit desperate to me. If you're not enjoying your coffee, why not drink something else instead? Coffee's pretty overrated anyway, IMHO.

There's a chain of coffee shops near my office in London that advertises that use robusta in preference to pure arabica!
