People always want something more than immediate joy or that deeper sense called happiness. This is one of the secrets by which we shape the fulfillment of our designs. The something more assumes amplified power with people who cannot give it a name or who (most often the case) do not even suspect its existence. Most people only react unconsciously to such hidden forces. Thus, we have only to call a calculated something more into existence, define it and give it shape, then people will follow. -- Leadership Secrets of the Bene Gesserit From the Heretics of Dune

I have always liked the Bene Gesserit Liturgy. I must not fear.Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain. After I read that I couldn't put the book down! :-) Regardz Colin J Davies

I can't remember how many design reviews I've gotten through using that as a mantra. :~

If you were doing them at Wright-Patterson AFB (Dayton, Ohio) between 1982 and 1989, it might have been. I worked for a variety of defense contractors back then.

As a matter of fact, Wright-Patt was one of my stops. But I was only attending top level CDRs there. The ones I ran were at ASCON sites for Basing ATE.
