Anybody have one that I can use for my website? Not that I really need to have a copyright notice on my website, but I want it to be there just for kicks. I mean, I want a copyright notice without copyright attached to it, so I can use it. ;P For my website, not EULA or something.

- Mother TeresaUnder UK law (and internationally also) I think you automatically gain copyright protection over anything you express, and in whatever form. As you say, it's worth pointing out this to other people so that if a problem does crop up you can at least say -- look I warned you. However, I don't think there's any real need to get a lawyer to draft you anything. Specifically in the UK there's something called a moral right for literary works, effectively it allows you as an author to complain if someone publishes your work (with your permission -- copyright still has to be satisfied), but publishes it in a bad way. For example, printing it in a pop-up book or something. As the author you have an over-riding control over how your work is handled. Normally, just noting a (C) at the bottom of a page is sufficient, for example, the notice put at the bottom of CP articles. You just need to say that all use has to be cleared with you first etc. -- Paul "Put the key of despair into the lock of apathy.
