This would then probably equate to 90% of the members of CP are more intelligent than 98% of the norm. :) Paul ;)

I would rather go for: 90% percent of the CP people did not make the test because they feel this test is crap, 10% percent (us) are stupid enough to test it and feel more intelligent. Jonathan de Halleux.

You must understand that the makers of the IQ test are sucking up to you, so that you will be more tempted to buy their "smart people services". I'm smart enough to not buy their crap. Does that make me smarter than they claim I am, or just them more stupid? :) -- Serial killers don't kill their boyfriends.

you're right. This test is crap! Here's a real test (well-known). Supposedly, Albert Einstein wrote this riddle, and said 98% of the world could not solve it. "There are 5 houses in 5 different colors. In each house lives a man with a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar or drink the same beverage." Any cpian above 130 should be able to solve it. (good luck and prepare coffee) Jonathan de Halleux.

        1. I think Einstein was too quick to speak about this one (as many other things.. :)) 2) It's a repost - answer's been posted I have tried the Mensa "test tests" and were judged to have good chances of joining. Of course, I never joined - this brain is not going into the Mensa collective! -- Serial killers don't kill their boyfriends.

Coincidently, I retook the test by purposely answered wrongly(or so I thought) and the score is 75? Is that the lowest you can get? I thought the average person has the IQ of 80. Does that mean the average person will get most of it wrong? :~ Jörgen Sigvardsson wrote: rand() works that way.

I've never scored less than 99th percentile on any assessment test in my life. It doesn't surprise me in the least that most here score very high; I'd expect it, in fact, in a small group comprised of people who excel in a very challenging field. The only geeks I'd anticipate having lower scores are those who have a history of test anxiety, and most of them would not try the test because of their fear.
