So Chris is trying to force IE
-
I just posted a message in Mozilla and noticed that the emoticons weren't there to click. /Edit they are there if I use IE /Edit As mentioned a few days ago, he also got rid of the formatting bar for Navigator to. /Edit - he got rid of the formatting functions eons ago /edit I was about buy VS.NET from the codeproject store, but since Chris is trying to force feed IE on me, I probably won't frequent CP anymore. Not that anyone here really cares. See Ya!

From a post he made a couple of days ago, I believe Chris is making some changes right now which temporarily forced him to cut out non-IE users but in a few days/( or weeks  )that should be rectified. zenboy wrote: Not that anyone here really cares. Yeah, no one cares :-D Nish

Well, the smileys have never worked from anything but IE. (Not sure why - I'm sure it's some quirk in HTML or JS or something? ) But the rest of the site worked fine for me in Mozilla Firebird (a nice browser, btw). So I'll take Nish's word that it's just a temporary change. :) If your nose runs and your feet smell, then you're built upside down.

I'm using Firebird, because I love tabbed browsing and mouse gestures. But if some site is IE-only-compatible, I launch IE, because my religion allows me to do it. Mozilla is open-source. Why don't you change it to make it more IE-aware? See ya! You can do it on anything you choose - from .bat to .net - A customer

Unless I'm much mistaken, you can still type them, and the formatting. Just to confirm: <b> - Bold <i> - Italic <u> - Underline <strike> - Strikethrough <small> - Small text <big> - Big text
<pre> - Preformatted text
<code> -
Code
< - < > - > & - & <a href="LINK">link</a> - link <a href="LINK">link with new window</a>[<a target=_blank title='New Window' href="LINK">^</a>] - link with new window[^] Emoticons: see the emoticons page[^]. The new :sigh: ( :sigh: ) and  ( ) icons don't appear in that list yet. Maybe Chris should detect non-IE browsers and show a list of valid formatting, rather than the buttons. -

you don't need to close H4 tags - as per the documentation... http://msdn.micrsoft.com/html/elements/h4/[^]

Nishant S wrote: BTW you havent closed the H4 tag 1) It's in my nature to swim against the tide. 2) Just because I "should", doesn't mean I "will". In fact, it usually means I "probably won't". (refer to item 1 for the short version of this statement). 3) The requirement to actually close the H4 tag is an illusion (see previous thread about lies and illusions) where IE is concerned. ------- signature starts "...the staggering layers of obscenity in your statement make it a work of art on so many levels." - Jason Jystad, 10/26/2001 "You won't like me when I'm angry..." - Dr. Bruce Banner Please review the Legal Disclaimer in my bio. ------- signature ends
