    What Will Be in Those PDC Goody Bags? For the record, according to Microsoft, attendees will get:

    • the technical preview build of Longhorn (which seems to be build 4051,);
    • a Longhorn software development kit (SDK);
    • a Next Generation Secure Computing Base (a k a "Palladium) SDK;
    • a technical preview build of the Whidbey Visual Studio tool suite;
    • an interim (something between Beta 1 and Beta 2) build of the Yukon SQL Server database release;
    • and other sundry code, including mobile-development kits and the like.
    • Microsoft also is developing an RSS-based "smart client" application that attendees will be able to use to create on-the-spot community lists at the conference.

    :rolleyes:

      Cool. Not attending PDC, I was curious if us MSDN members would be able to get some of those goody bag items. It appears so, but we have to call Microsoft Customer Service. Marc Latest AAL Article My blog Join my forum!

          If you look in "whats hot" on the MSDN subscriber downloads page it has instructions for how to obtain the Longhorn and Whidbey preview packs. Chris.

                Nothing says "Professional Programmer" like a magazine with a clown on the front of it. Oh, never mind, that was probably for the VB Programmers.

                  you can download some stuff already (SDK). Longhorn you can pay to get in November. Subscribers will get it in December. All this is nasty rumors from people that are there. Scott Hanselman has a good blog going: http://www.hanselman.com/blog/
