Most hated: Pascal, because I actually had to do "OO" programming in it in college for two freaking quarters. Ugh. Of the languages I've actually used, C++ is my favorite, and PIC assembly language is my least favorite. Languages I dislike on general principles: Visual Basic*, Forth, APL, and COBOL. * Note: I like ordinary BASIC. Visual Basic reminds me of a mouse built to government specifications (visualize in your mind a hermaphroditic seven-legged two-headed rhinocerous with skin problems, and you get the idea). Weird languages I've used and liked at the time: LISP, VAX/VMS DCL, PDP-11 assembly language.

Oddly, my favorite language to play around with has been PERL. My least favorite, at this point is Series 1 Assembly, but I think RPG/400 was a very close second place.

Most hated (as in, I'll actually die if I have to touch this language ever again): CADOL Strongly Dislike: ADA (had 3 qtrs of this language in College - ACK!) Favs: C++ and Delphi (although I'm warming up to C#) D.
