I always said after watching the worst one that I wouldn't insult my backside by forcing it to sit through it again but everyone else seemed to think it was brilliant. Agreed with all of them, except Vanilla Sky. I thought it was a brilliant movie, even though it was a direct rip off of the original. Why, oh why, didn't Pearl Harbour get to the first (or even second) spot? **I Dream of Absolute Zero

Yeh, I was disappointed to see Vanilla Sky in tje list too, as I think it's a great moview. Perhaps there was an anti Tom Cruise vote!?

What does it mean if I enjoyed quite a few of their top ten worst films? A.I had beautiful moments though it was a let down overall. Pearl Harbour was cool for the battles, nice entertainment and anyone who was expecting a historical docu should have their heads checked. Vanilla Sky was just freaky man, but it had Diaz in it, how could I not like it? The Avengers was just fun. But yes, Battle Field Earth and Highlander were just utterly horrendous. Titanic, Eyes Wide Shut and the Blair Witch I have not watched. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Anna-Jayne Metcalfe wrote: "Cynicism has it's place in life - but it should be kept well away from your inner self." Did you like 2001? I think VS had the same kind of 'what the truck is going on?' feel to it that a lot of people don't like. Many movie gowers don't want an experience, they want a rigid story with beautiful people. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Anna-Jayne Metcalfe wrote: "Cynicism has it's place in life - but it should be kept well away from your inner self." >Did you like 2001? Loved it. The problem is that Vanilla Sky is explained at the end - everything becomes clear on the roof. However, the ending to 2001 is quite baffling unless you have read the book! >Many movie gowers don't want an experience, they want a rigid story with beautiful people. Yep. Why Armageddon didn't make the top 10 in this list I'll never know. It was simply Pearl Harbour in space after all - great effects, really awful plot and more cheesy moments than you can shake a stick at. Saw Kill Bill this weekend and it blew my t*ts off. Can't wait for Vol 2. Saw "The Pledge" on Sky the other night too (starring Jack Nicholson, directed by Sean Penn) and thought it was excellent. Very under-rated movie. No happy ending though, so hence ignored by the vast majority of the cinema-going public.

Pearl Harbour was Armageddon on a harbour! ;) >Saw Kill Bill this weekend and it blew my t*ts off Awesome, I will tape my tits down before I see it then, been looking forward to it for awhile now. >No happy ending though, so hence ignored by the vast majority of the cinema-going public. Sad but true, thats the scourge of Hollywood alas. >However, the ending to 2001 is quite baffling unless you have read the book! True, I have read the book but then I don't alays need a point or explanation to enjoy a movie. They can be like some songs, just a great experience, nothing more, nothing less. Let go. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Anna-Jayne Metcalfe wrote: "Cynicism has it's place in life - but it should be kept well away from your inner self." Crikey! ain't life grand?

The movies Traffic, The Madness of King (George or Henry I forget now), Exiztence(sp?), Wing commander and some other pointless movie where there was this assassin women (acted by Charlize Theron?) and some schitso spy guy liked her are also all rubbish movies (In my opinion of course - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :-D)

That's a real pitty, because I thought Battlefield Earth, the novel, had real movie potential, to rival Dune and Starwars as epics. I hope nobody butchers Greg Bear's Eon. Hallelucination - when you think you see God

It did indeed, but Travolta, a Scientologist, obviously got too involved in his pet project and ruined it. Hubbard would definitley have knocked him down a few awareness levels for that cock up. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Anna-Jayne Metcalfe wrote: "Cynicism has it's place in life - but it should be kept well away from your inner self." The worst film I have every watched was Trainspotting. By far, the most miserable 10 years of my life were spent watching that film.

                                      >Privateer was also a wing commander game though. If you mean they were both set in space, then sure. But Privateer was not part of the WC series, it was a really awesome space game with you as a, wait for it, privateer and not part of an army or anything like WC. They release a sequel some time back, the darkening or something. It is more like Elite. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Anna-Jayne Metcalfe wrote: "Cynicism has it's place in life - but it should be kept well away from your inner self." The worst film I have every watched was Trainspotting. By far, the most miserable 10 years of my life were spent watching that film.

You are definitely going to have to explain what was wrong with Trainspotting then. Quite a cult film that, I have both soundtracks and wouldn't mind the DVD :) regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Anna-Jayne Metcalfe wrote: "Cynicism has it's place in life - but it should be kept well away from your inner self." Traffic rocked! How can you knock it? It was a masterpiece I thought. The whole style was just awesome. At least Wing Commander the movie was more entertaining than the game. No idea what my friends saw in that deathly boring series of games. Privateer and the like were far better. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass South Africa Anna-Jayne Metcalfe wrote: "Cynicism has it's place in life - but it should be kept well away from your inner self." The wing command series was good, until Chris Roberts started wanting to be a film director.. The Kilrathi were a bit crap too, because they looked like the honey monster[^]. Ryan
