After installing a bundled copy of Norton Pro 2002 on machine (a VAIO laptop) last year it refused to boot 50% of the time....System Restore got rid of the thing, and now I've been using AVG for a year and a half with no problems whatsoever... But it would make more sense than usual spam. You can get spam even for products you already have. Why should you buy them a second time? You'll rather regret having bought it, because the seller has just become a spammer, so the seller loses a customer by "advertising". Spam for anti-spam-tools makes more sense, because this can't happen.

... and I decided to take a little revenge for ya, as I satisfied my own curiosity. I can't decide for sure whether it's real or Memorex; I think it's a big fake, but some things bother me, like the occasional misspelling. Here's a transcript: You are currently at position number 12 in the queue. An agent will be with you shortly. ... You have been connected to Darrel Doug. Darrel Doug: Jombo, thank you for contacting the McAfee Online Support Center. How can I assist you today? Jombo Hutton: What is the I that I am? Jombo Hutton: Hello? About my problem? Darrel Doug: Jombo, could you please elaborate your issue? Jombo Hutton: I'm having lots of trouble with software. Darrel Doug: Jombo, are you getting any error message? Jombo Hutton: It says "link not found in DLL" Darrel Doug: Jombo, may I know the exact error message you are getting? Jombo Hutton: The exact error message is "link not found in DLL" Darrel Doug: When exactly does this error occur? Jombo Hutton: During processing Darrel Doug: When did this error start happening? Jombo Hutton: I think it just downloaded a virus on me! What do you think of that? Jombo Hutton: It started happening today! Jombo Hutton: Please fix it! Darrel Doug: Please tell me if you see a red square with white "M" or a blue shield with a red "V" near the system clock which is at the bottom-right corner of the screen? Jombo Hutton: Mhm Jombo Hutton: Is Darrel Doug really your name? Jombo Hutton: Hello? Darrel Doug: Yes Jombo. Darrel Doug: Using your mouse, please right click on the Red "M" icon located on the bottom of the screen by the clock, and go up to "VirusScan". Then select 'about' from the menu that slides out. What version is listed at the top next to the OK button? Also, what
Ooh, you evil evil man. I can't help but smile when thinking of all the poor McAfee support guys getting together for lunch and sharing their stories from this morning. :)

Reminds me of the Monty Python extortion skit with the army Major. Goon: "Nice tank there. Be a shame if something were to happen to it" Major: "Protection!! We're the bloody British Army!!" I try to think but nothing happens.
