I just read in our local paper about police fining people for public kissing in Moscow.:wtf: Just how bad can it be? Are they making out on the floor or what? I heard that on the radio this morning. I'm not sure how showing affection is immoral. Even if the occassionl couple gets passionate about it and start fondling each other for a minute, so what?

I think public kissing is a crime here [I am not sure abt the legal implications]. But I remember what I read once in the newspaper abt how a lover couple were arrested by the police for public kissing. Hear, hear Anna! I have been told off by my own sister for showing affection for my girlfriends in public. So what if we were up against that wall snogging like there was no tomorrow. It's not a crime here, AFAIK, though IANAL, of course. Plus I've seen people doing it, even in public places. The news incident you are talking about probably had more to it than was published in the paper. Most of the time they water it down (DOH! but you know how it is here).
