What's everyone up to this weekend? For me it's going to be a little work, a lot of catching up on sleep, some Christmas shopping and possibly a great deal of lounging around with a good book. Any better ideas? cheers, Chris Maunder

My schedule Snowboarding on Saturday. Followed by hot tub, and lounging around watching all the TV I've taped this week. Celebrating my birthday on Sunday (a week early), by going go-karting, or if it's raining seeing Loony Tunes. Chris Maunder wrote: Any better ideas?, sounds okay. It's not a programming book is it? Greba, My lack of content on my home page should be entertaining.

Going to a surprise party for a co-worker who recently turned really old (30) on Saturday. Contemplating to harass someone on Sunday. In between there will be the usual: cleaning apartment and washing clothes. -- He is the painkiller. This is the painkiller!

Properly separating the furry things from the run-away things and the jump-in-your-face things. Yes, my dear fridge, it's that time of the year again.

A lot of shopping. We have a large family. A lot of wrapping. Cut the grass. Decorate the outside of the house. The tree has been up since before Thanksgiving. Practice the piano... for some reason, my piano teacher has seen fit to poor on the exercises after she took several weeks vacation. Sleep ? What's that ? Steven J. We (me, g/f and my son Ian) are all flying to San Diego tomorrow morning for 8 eight days of business/pleasure. Assuming the plane gets off the ground. It's snowing quite a bit right now, and there's sleet expected in the morning. At least the airport is 15 minutes away! And it'll be in the high 60's in San Diego! That reminds me...I wonder if that young whippersnapper wants to show an old gheezer like me around his dad's work? What was his name...oh yeah...David....David Stone! Painting 40sq/m of spare room. (Which will become my study). It was an awful Pashmina Pink and it looks like its going to require at least 3 coats :( Other than that fairly relaxed. --Colin Mackay--

I'm not planning to put my Christmas decorations up until about a week/10 days before Christmas. At one end of my street there are some neighbours who are determined to out-do each other. Last years decorations were fabulous, but this year both of them have really gone to town. I can see one's conservatory from two streets away its lit up almost as bright as the Forth Bridge (that's the historic rail bridge Edinburgh and Fife. It, along with all the clouds within about 3 miles, is lit up each night) --Colin Mackay--

Busy as usual. :) Working on Fluid; upgrading my mom's hard disk from 20 GB to 40 GB, and replacing my dad's hard drive because it's failing; installing VS.NET 2002 finally, preparing to send a Christmas package to a not-so-well-to-do family. This weekend I'll also be putting up Christmas lights and doing other decoration, making some Christmas orders, and changing my sig to a Christmas one ;) . Then comes wrapping presents, etc.

Outdoor lights go up somewhere between the day after Thanksgiving and the first weekend in December.

Chris Maunder wrote: What's everyone up to this weekend? It's already started! I just finished up walking a parade with all the Kiwanis clubs in the area, along with all the kids' clubs we sponsor. Reminds me of herding cats... Tomorrow is a spell at bell ringing for Salvation Army, followed by attending a karate tournament, then a Christmas party in the evening. And somewhere over the weekend I really should make up a final exam for my math class next week and revise my syllabus for next term. In my spare time I'll be trying to figure out how to link edit boxes with recordset fields in C++, fiddling with a website rewrite, and looking for work. Maybe I'll mow the yard if things get slow; I'm sure the neighbors will appreciate it. And the truck has been making a funny noise I really must look into. Beer will be involved in many of these activities, of course, so the weekend won't be a total loss. "Your village called -

Scanning family photos for next year's calendar. More work refactoring a gigantic app to (hopefully) allow multithreaded access. Consuming tasty malt beverages. Possibly chatting with my sister's boyfriend who's staying with us (an Aussie vacationing in Wisconsin in December. Not my place to judge... :~ ) If i get really bored, washing the ever-growing pile of dishes in the kitchen, so's i can actually eat here.
