Installing VB over VS with SP
-
I've VC++ 6 with service pack 5 installed. My next project may involve VB6 (the horror...), but I don't have it installed. So, is it safe to install it over the sp5? I afraid it'll ruin the installation.

Install VB, then reinstall SP5. Done.

No, it won't ruin your installation, only your sanity. Be aware that's also very common for VB to damage keyboard drivers when installing. You can easily notice this by the ammount of ALL CAPS MESSAGES on VB forums. Don't forget to reapply SP5 after this.
