I believe Nish is from India. I am sure this was mentioned in a thread a couple of weeks ago. Michael Martin Pegasystems Pty Ltd Australia martm@pegasystems.com +61 413-004-018 "Don't belong. Never join. Think for yourself. Peace" - Victor Stone

Yup I am from Trivandrum, India. Trivandrum is India's southern most city and is the capital of the state of Kerala. A lot of people think all Indians speak Hindi. Its funny how wrong that can be. Here in Trivandrum the native tongue is 'malayalam'. I know as much hindi as I know greek or spanish. But english is my favorite language. I am a sort of writer too. :-) Nish

Kiss up, is to apologise, suck up, try to get on the good side of someone. Yes it is slang. Michael Martin Pegasystems Pty Ltd Australia martm@pegasystems.com +61 413-004-018 "Don't belong. Never join. Think for yourself. Peace" - Victor Stone

Thanks! I wasn't trying to be on his good side. But I wanted to apologize for offending him somehow with my nick-name. Somehow, I always find that I unintentionally offend people :-( Nish

I just wake up sometimes in a really sour mood. Things that put a burr under my saddle today: - Everybody flailing around over XP - The abuse of the Most Helpful counter - Nish's user ID - The state of the world as a whole - Facing the possibility that I'm simply fed up with the industry as a whole - News media that can't find anything decent to report on There's probably more, but I'm in too bad of a mood to think about it any more. To hell with those thin-skinned pillow-biters. - Me, 10/03/2001

Nish, don't worry about apologising. John's hemmarhoids must be playing up. How he can have a problem with BusterBoy while carrying around outlaw programmer I don't know? Yeah, yeah, you wish pillow biter :P Actually I was trying to sympathise/console, kissing up is not my style. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth :) Ho hum, but the state of the industry still sucks and right now MCCMS (Microsoft Content Management Server) is so seriously hacking me off that I am going to go install Linux on our firewall box again, for a breather. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa "The greatest thing you will ever learn is to love, and be loved in return" - Moulin Rouge "In other words, the developer is dealing with an elephant, the accountant is dealing with a bunny rabbit." by Stan Shannon - 16/10/2001

The "or what" part probably applies more since it encompasses an infinitely fluid amount of pure stupidity, where "it sucks" implies that afinite action. I voted "or what". To hell with those thin-skinned pillow-biters. - Me, 10/03/2001

I was being sarcastic - you have to pay attention to ALL of the threads on CP in which I might have participated in order to understand some of the references (the current poll about XP where Anders says I hate XP for no reason).
