        No, it's divided as shown. Treaties are supposed to prevent it's militarization or development, IIRC.

            Seven different countries have made (overlapping) claims to certain portions of Antarctica (the U.S. and Russia have made no claims, but may do so in the future).                     I was working on some software recently that dealt with postcodes and the Australian bit actually has its own postcode, just in case you want to send something there :-):rolleyes:
