Coffee or Coca Cola

I've been drinking tea like crazy lately, but it just seems so mellow - chamomile this, peppermint that. I think I'll get back to it again after I have a week long fling with Coke. But until we break up - I'm sure feeling awake again :omg: Bianca Wylie

Personally I turn Cornholio after 2-3 cups. :sigh: Bianca Wylie wrote: I think I'll get back to it again after I have a week long fling with Coke. Keep your tea bags locked up in a cupboard. You don't want to endup in a triangle drama between tea and coke. ;) Bianca Wylie wrote: But until we break up - I'm sure feeling awake again You should try running for 20-30 minutes in the morning. Hippy? Chamomile tea has been around long before the concept hippie even existed. Although, chamomile tea is not very good if you want to stay awake. IIRC, it has a sedating effect.. -- Gott weiß ich will kein Engel sein.

But it's so FUN doing Tai Chi by my desk, and nothing goes with doing Tai Chi at your desk like a steaming cup of horsetail tea. Or cat nip. My friend keeps making me drink cat nip tea. That's fun stuff, believe me - though it has the opposite effect on humans. Bianca Wylie

Coke has got to be worse. Why not have a poll ? Vote 1 for coffee being worse, 5 for coke being worse. And FWIW, I believe that a poll like this can be skewed by putting your preferred option at 5, a lot of people will just like the post and vote 5 for it. I guess it all depends on what you consider "worse". As far as for your own body, I'm sure Coke is worse than coffee, if only becuase of all the extra sugar. Now worse from a global perspective - buying the coffee may have supported Colombian guerillas in control of the coffee bean growers. So I guess it's always a trade-off. :-D "I'd be up a piece if I hadn't swallowed my bishop." Mr. Ed, playing chess

Trying to figure out which of the two is more of a stomach rotter. Was off the former for almost two weeks until Marcy arrived, now I'm back into the latter. In a good way. And yes Marcy, you heard your name ;P Bianca Wylie

Yeah, but Coke helps US corporations to take over the world. So, who do you choose ? Christian I have drunk the cool-aid and found it wan and bitter. - Chris Maunder

I actually haven't - but from your intonation, I'm assuming I should. And if I do, I'll be thinking about this discussion when I see the purple flurple. flurp. that thing, yeah. Bianca Wylie

Why not black teas? gives you a less peaky, more steady flow of caffeine. For the addicts, I'd recommend a good Assam, broken leaf, 3..4 minutes. For the weaklings a Darjeeling, or for the daring s pure Ceylon. Just avoid atrocities like Fannings/Dust (like in tea bags), or a Ceylon/Assam mixtures (Lipton!), though this one's not bad for iced tea. There are many ways and gadgets for making tea, but important is just: - boiling water - the leaves need some room to expand If you think these things dull, you can very well try black tea w/ Aroma. there are hundes of mixtures available, though I tend to tone them down 1:1 with plain black tea.

Both are bad for your stumach I'm afraid. Coke is full of acids (phosphoric and carbon acid) which can upset your stumach. I don't really know why coffee is bad for the stumach, but I know it can contribute to ulcer. I've found tea to be a nice alternative. Soothing and warming (especially in this climate) -- Gott weiß ich will kein Engel sein.
Hell yeah! Here at the office we have three coffee pots going: leaded, decaf, and tea! :) Jeremy Falcon

I usually drink a few cups of tea mixed with creamer and sugar, and a daily jug of water. Jeremy Falcon

Don't know for sure, I've always heard that tea had less caffeine and less bad crap in it than coffee. Personally, I like the taste better simply because it seems *lighter* than coffee. BTW, did you ever get the Dynamic view to work for you again? I have the same problem now. I'm guess it has something to do with a program called SpywareBlaster that I installed, but I don't know for sure. Jeremy Falcon

Some study came out recently that said coffee was actually good for you. I remember my wife reading it in the paper and telling me I might not die in a few years after all :)
