Trying to figure out which of the two is more of a stomach rotter. Was off the former for almost two weeks until Marcy arrived, now I'm back into the latter. In a good way. And yes Marcy, you heard your name ;P Bianca Wylie

I actually haven't - but from your intonation, I'm assuming I should. And if I do, I'll be thinking about this discussion when I see the purple flurple. flurp. that thing, yeah. Bianca Wylie

But it's so FUN doing Tai Chi by my desk, and nothing goes with doing Tai Chi at your desk like a steaming cup of horsetail tea. Or cat nip. My friend keeps making me drink cat nip tea. That's fun stuff, believe me - though it has the opposite effect on humans. Bianca Wylie

I've been drinking tea like crazy lately, but it just seems so mellow - chamomile this, peppermint that. I think I'll get back to it again after I have a week long fling with Coke. But until we break up - I'm sure feeling awake again :omg: Bianca Wylie

Why not black teas? gives you a less peaky, more steady flow of caffeine. For the addicts, I'd recommend a good Assam, broken leaf, 3..4 minutes. For the weaklings a Darjeeling, or for the daring s pure Ceylon. Just avoid atrocities like Fannings/Dust (like in tea bags), or a Ceylon/Assam mixtures (Lipton!), though this one's not bad for iced tea. There are many ways and gadgets for making tea, but important is just: - boiling water - the leaves need some room to expand If you think these things dull, you can very well try black tea w/ Aroma. there are hundes of mixtures available, though I tend to tone them down 1:1 with plain black tea.

Both are bad for your stumach I'm afraid. Coke is full of acids (phosphoric and carbon acid) which can upset your stumach. I don't really know why coffee is bad for the stumach, but I know it can contribute to ulcer. I've found tea to be a nice alternative. Don't know for sure, I've always heard that tea had less caffeine and less bad crap in it than coffee. Personally, I like the taste better simply because it seems *lighter* than coffee. BTW, did you ever get the Dynamic view to work for you again? I have the same problem now. I'm guess it has something to do with a program called SpywareBlaster that I installed, but I don't know for sure. Jeremy Falcon

Apparently it modified some IE registry keys, which affected the UserAgent string. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the path to the keys. However, if you load http://www.codeproject.com/script/misc/browsercheck.asp[^] you'll see your UserAgent string. Coffee is definitely better for you. I drank 6 - 8 pots a day for years without any stomach upset, but a few Cokes will drive me up a wall. Tea is a good alternative, but contains a lot more acid to upset your stomach lining - it's the same compound used to transform soft skin into shoe leather. Two small cups of tea are enough to send me back to bed so nauseous that I can't stand up. Beer, on the other hand, has none of these nasty side effects, and makes the day go by so pleasantly. Plus, you get a lot of healthful exercise, dashing for the restroom every 20 minutes or so; that helps to limit the number of meetings you get invited to, also.:-D Heard in Bullhead City - "You haven't lost your girl -
you've just lost your turn..." [sigh] So true...

Coke has got to be worse. Why not have a poll ? Vote 1 for coffee being worse, 5 for coke being worse. And FWIW, I believe that a poll like this can be skewed by putting your preferred option at 5, a lot of people will just like the post and vote 5 for it. When I was a kid, I remember my grandfather telling me that you could put a nail in Coke and given enough time it would dissolve it. If true, that doesn't seem like a very good sign.
